Yes
How much do you suppose televangelism makes in America ?
Google how much land the church of your choosing owns. And what they pay in taxes as a result
Find out how many jobs or paid positions are created within your church that are tax exempt
Religion is a money spinner

Tax the churches. "But they do charity." So do many companies. Claim that on their tax return.

How many airplanes does Kenneth Copeland have? He won't fly commercial because "they're demonic."

@Crazywaterspring our advisor John Kerry for climate change flys in his personal jet all over the world. I know sorta how you feel.

They should not be taxed and they should also be non-political
Not unless i can be exempt from tax also

Absolutely not. In Canada, to get Charity status and tax exemption, you cannot make and income and a % of the money received must be dispersed charitably. If any organization meets these requirements, they should get the tax exemption. However, I'm quite sure most churches do not meet this threshold.

That’s like asking should minorities be tax exempt because they influence politics. They have a grip on the progressive Democrats.

@specman Minorities arent tax exempt unlike deadbeat churches thats the diffrence.

@Spotpot if you go by the reasons listed on this post and some of the comments except they don’t donate, they don’t do work for free , they don’t do charity work and some other stuff then shouldn’t they be tax exempt since they influence politics by their protests and riots.

🤡 and the black Baptist revivals and the fringe Protestants don't? And the "Reformed" Jewish temples don't?

You are a weakly predictable one note act 🙄

They should pay their way and be taxed for what they are, large businesses. Honestly they’d be better off and society would be too.
Yes if they spend finances like a normal church- no if they are a prosperity gospel church.
No. God doesn’t require money.

@TheLustyLord Does good demand that you talk poltics from the pulpet.
@Spotpot I wouldn’t know. I haven’t set foot in a church since I was old enough to have a say in the matter.

Hell no. That just gives them special status. I understand the founders wanted the separation of church and state to not have religious and secular funds crossing lines. But all it does is allow churches to become for profit (and greedy) organizations. All that wealth accumulation was already done in the middle ages. And it did nothing but give them overwhelming power of the purse. And with that power, corruption. The effects of which ended up scarring the planet as Christians have overwhelming power all over the world even today. So tax them according to their income level. Just like the poor have to do.
No, tax laws for exemption expressively states that all organizations must be non profit and non partisan, churches violate those constantly.
