Should churches be tax exempt
Given how much they influnce politics sometimes directly espacially evangelical right wing churches with their grip on the GOP.

Absolutely not. In Canada, to get Charity status and tax exemption, you cannot make and income and a % of the money received must be dispersed charitably. If any organization meets these requirements, they should get the tax exemption. However, I'm quite sure most churches do not meet this threshold.
