@anythingoes477 I really don't want Republicans in power. But I think it's naive to think Trump loses the general outright. Even as a loser for the last election, he still brought in a massive number of votes. Can't get caught underestimating him.

@ViciDraco I agree it takes people turning out to the polls to make sure he's beaten again...........but I think too it will take less beating this time. Last time it was record setting people voting..............on both sides. This time a LOT of his first time voters have had enough. In fact in 2020 they already did. Most of the key states that gave hm an electoral vote win in 2016 had had enough and flipped to Blue back in 2020. And look at all he has done to sour voters even more since then. Convicted of felony sexual abuse.......the coup.....stolen documents.......lying to the FBI to keep them to sell.......

And by 2024 he will have faced six more Grand Juries........and lots more felony charges. He can beat one here and there but if don't face anymore felonies other than the 34 in New York State....... out of 34 even if he bats 500........he's still guilty of 17 felonies..........and there's 6 more Grand Juries and god knows how many felony charges will be in each one of those? I think he will take the Repube primary.......and that is great. That kicks all other Repubes who could have a chance of winning to the curb..........but a primary isn't a general election. A primary only has Repubes voting.........

@DavidT8899 DeSatan is a horrible person and an incompetent leader. It won't help if he turns into Mr. I Love People, and at this point it's probably impossible. This is the kind of guy he is, and anything different is going to come across as phony.

@DavidT8899 If Trump stays in the race, he'll be the nominee as the non-Trump vote is being divided among all of the other candidates. It will be a repeat of 2016. But if Trump is indicted by the DOJ or in Georgia, that could change as he could be on trial next year and possibly even convicted and sent to prison. That doesn't have to stop him from running, but a lot of his supporters will be looking for someone else if that happens.

@ElwoodBlues I was listening to the Michael Savage show the other day. His theory is that Musk deliberately sabotaged DeSatan's announcement because he has several lucrative contracts with the Biden administration and doesn't want to mess that up. So he's ostensibly coming out in favor of DeSatan over Trump while sabotaging him. And if Musk is so incompetent as to not check if Twitter Spaces would scale up to handle that many people, he's a bigger idiot than I thought.

@LeopoldBloom Interesting. Sounds a bit too conspiracy-theory for me though, and I dunno if Elon's ego could handle owning the failure. He's not a man who likes to admit he was wrong under the best of circumstances.

I could more easily believe twitter has the capability to deliver a few million simultaneous audio streams but Elon fired the folks who knew how to configure everything and make it happen, leaving only people who didn't know what they didn't know and thought it was supposed to "just work."

@ElwoodBlues That makes more sense. Twitter Spaces was designed for groups up to 200 people, not 200 thousand. He's not really an IT guy and probably assumed that it would scale up automatically.
