@BritishFailedAesthetic To you, apparently nothing.
CarazaaF
@SomeMichGuy Work out your own salvation I believe means God wants us to repent and turn from sin and read the Bible. And I think you are right that noone can follow Jesus and have hate in their heart and believing a lie!
@Carazaa
and believing a lie!
And what would that be? And ahem... you need to see all leftist ideology being pushed and see if it well.... fits with biblical teaching.

Sadly the settlement does not require Fox or any of its people to admit to or apologize for the lies they told, and promoted for so long.. I only hope some tech head goes to the trouble to make deep fakes of Murdoch. Carlson and Hannity all grovelling and begging for mercy for the deception. I am sure they will get a ton of airtime on every other network, (after being clearly identified as fakes in fine print.)馃樂
CarazaaF
@whowasthatmaskedman They admitted they lied!
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Carazaa Yes, They did. In court, in the softest language possible. Their dedicated viewers will never hear it.馃樂

Next up: Smartmatic is suing Fox for $2.7 billion. Expect another huge "settlement."
More evidence of Fox News' alleged misconduct while reporting the 2020 presidential election could be unveiled by another lawsuit against the media conglomerate, according to a statement from Smartmatic lawyer Erik Connolly.
. . .

Smartmatic, an election technology company rivaling Dominion, is also suing Fox News. The lawsuit, which was filed in February 2021, is seeking $2.7 billion in damages from the media corporation as well as some of its anchors, more than $1 billion higher than the Dominion lawsuit, which sought $1.6 billion in damages before reaching the settlement.

"Dominion's litigation exposed some of the misconduct and damage caused by Fox's disinformation campaign. Smartmatic will expose the rest," Connolly said in a statement that was tweeted by Semafor editor-in-chief Ben Smith on Tuesday afternoon. "Smartmatic remains committed to clearing its name, recouping the significant damage done to the company, and holding Fox accountable for undermining democracy."
@ElwoodBlues Yes that's why I asked. Mr Murdoch would probably have to pay a compensation for those losses. Muahahaha

That is very good news! I have never believed that lawsuits is the answer to anything, except now so people will realize the truth! So much damage have been done to the world because of them!
Why are you bringing faith into politics?
CarazaaF
@BritishFailedAesthetic Stop bringing religion into politics? I am thanking The Lord that truth wins out in the end, and that false christians are exposed to be lying about their faith in Jesus.
CarazaaF
@MasterLee I have reported you being verbally abusive, and I will block you!
@Carazaa
and that false christians are exposed to be lying about their faith in Jesus.
Eh?

I doubt that. Paying a settlement usually includes not admitting guilt because it is easier to pay them off than fight more in court.

... as an out-of-court settlement, in order to avoid court proceedings.

@Slade Terms of that settlement and his settlement against the Washington Post as well were never released. So we don't know the size of the monetary settlement, or even if any money was involved, since both were reporting on a video that had gone viral on social media which turned out to have been edited out of context, and both those media outlets reported that full context when the unedited video became available. Totally different from publishing/broadcasting as fact what you admit at the time knowing were outright lies.
LeopoldBloomM
@helenS CNN paid a settlement to that little twerp who was photographed smirking at an elderly Native American man.
Slade56-60, M
@dancingtongue CNN sucks. Nobody watches it.

It oozes failure. But you still adore it...FAIL

Too bad it wasn't possible to get a correction back then. The system is working! Look how fast the war is growing!
Public media? What is that? Was that even English? Forget about it.
And yet the MAGAts will continue to turn their back on that truth.

You can lead a horse to water, and you can even shove his nose in it, but if he's too dumb to drink, all you'll do is piss him off.
CarazaaF
@LordShadowfire Sadly you are right!

@Darksideinthenight2 It is not the amount, that is significant, but the admitting to lies that is important and was needed for truth and justice to reign!
