Another one bites the dust

And another one's gone, tRump endorsed Herschel Walker has lost the Georgia runoff election to Raphael Warnock for the Georgia Senate seat, the people of Georgia have spoken and decided to vote for common sense, buh bye Herschel, now you can go back into relative obscurity where dumbasses like you belong! 😃

He can now ponder about "vampires" and "werewolves" all day long 😂

@BackyardShaman I saw that beginning to happen in the Officers in the Military before I retired too, since the advent of student loans is where a lot of this began, many of them work somewhere for 2 years, are a dismal failure and then move on to a higher position with a better salary somewhere else, not because they deserve it but simply because they happen to have a college Degree...

@spjennifer 😄well that could apply to why did the republican ever endorse trump .they must of had some inclination listening prior to the ginger moron speak he would be a disaster for the republican party
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@smiler2012 Once again they made a compromise as they figured the orange menace would be popular enough thanks to his TV show to get elected, shades of Reagan, they didn't count on his massive ego though, I'm pretty sure they thought they'd be able to control him, wronggggg!

This is one of the most disheartening races in political memory because it shows the utter resentment and lack of regard we have for US government. We treat it like a circus sideshow and then bemoan our lots. If there was one non-discordant note to the whole thing, it was the measured and responsible concession on Walker's part"
"I want to thank all of you...because we've had a tough journey, have we not?" Walker told the crowd. "One of the things I said when they called the race, I said the numbers doesn't look like it's gonna add up....I don't want any of you to stop believing in America...believe in our elected officials and most of all, continue to pray for them."

"There are no excuses in life. I'm not going to make any excuses now, because we put up one heck of a fight. This is much bigger than Herschel Walker."
@Graylight Agreed, at least Herschel didn't attempt to say the election was stolen and he conceded gracefully, I'll give him that.
@Graylight Yep, Walker's honest upbeat concession speech puts him head and shoulders above sore losers like Trump and Kari Lake.

The ability to be fair and philosophical after a loss is one positive result of Walker's career in sports.

They had their choice between a moron and a preacher. That doesn't say much about the people of Georgia.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hunkalove Raphael Warnock is more than just a "Preacher" though, he holds 2 Master's Degrees and a Doctorate and was a community activist before becoming a politician so he does have some credentials that make him a much more viable Senator than poor Herschel who will probably move back to Texas now that he's lost. But it does sound like the makings of a joke, "A moron and preacher walk into a bar" 😃

@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Oh I get it, demonocrats trying to overturn elektions is not the same as Republican trying to overturn elections. Got it

@sunsporter1649
With a majority in the Senate the Dems can still snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@Roundandroundwego Kind of like tRump's endorsed in the midterms right? 😃
All three of Trump's celebrity picks got owned. 🇺🇸
