@helenS They did, big changes to the worst possible outcome but it started way before that. There has been a big decline in education in the USA for decades and we are paying the price now for it, I literally see people with 4 year Marketing Degrees that can barely make a complete sentence.

@BackyardShaman If that's true then there's got to be something wrong with the whole educational system. Most Nobel prizes land in the US, so the system produces high-quality experts, but maybe the man in the street is less educated than in Western Europe?

@helenS I think you are right, and we do still have highly educated professionals here, I just know what I see happening around me and I’m appalled. Before I retired my work place was full of these 4 year marketing degree morons that imitate Trump in their behavior and language, including the new CEO. It’s happening all over the country in multiple corporations here, where we once had engineers in high ranking positions we have marketing fresh grads that watch FOX news all day making all the decisions.

@BackyardShaman I saw that beginning to happen in the Officers in the Military before I retired too, since the advent of student loans is where a lot of this began, many of them work somewhere for 2 years, are a dismal failure and then move on to a higher position with a better salary somewhere else, not because they deserve it but simply because they happen to have a college Degree...

@smiler2012 Once again they made a compromise as they figured the orange menace would be popular enough thanks to his TV show to get elected, shades of Reagan, they didn't count on his massive ego though, I'm pretty sure they thought they'd be able to control him, wronggggg!
