The 50th Anniversary of the End of the Tuskegee Syphilis Study

Just a reminder that the U.S. government treated 623 African American men like human guinea pigs, so government doctors could study the course of the disease. They watched as these men suffered in agony and died during a period of four decades before ending the experiment and offering them treatment.

And yet, here's the current CDC director's spin below:

50 years from now, I wonder if there will be any mention of the millions of guinea pigs used for a non-working vaccine? 🤔
@wildbill83 Seems some things never change.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@wildbill83 Oh, it works on shortening the lives of the injected. Does that mean it worked as a population control tactic?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Well they certainly topped that disaster with their great covid vax experiment. They have killed millions in that experiment.
@hippyjoe1955 That was a test run
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
And people actually think the US government gives a damn about us citizens! Black white or whatever!
@Snuffy1957 Governments around the world look at us as livestock. They think they own us.

@Snuffy1957 Well they care... but they're an amorphous crowd and they don't know how to care. They could start by not doing (obviously) wrongful things.
And this evil hag just participated in a global one..

Fuck these dogs.

No amnesty

This is flipping disgusting, and it shows how callous our government is with its soldiers and citizens (Todays woke puppets).
WillaKissing · 56-60
@BizSuitStacy Damn shame!
@WillaKissing it's criminal
WillaKissing · 56-60
@BizSuitStacy Absolutely so!

yep those men were injected with the disease..

What is it you want. That was 50 years ago. If there is assistance needed by the individuals involved, then certainly, by all means. But if this just harps on the racism of two generations ago, then it's just another race-baiting divisive remembrance, and fails to note the massive changes since then.
@SW-User Not the purpose of the post. It's a reminder that our gov't has a history of using it's citizens as human guinea pigs.
akindheart · 61-69, F
what a travesty. they had no idea
@soar2newhighs I'll have to watch this.
@BizSuitStacy I think you’ll find it more than interesting.

this was a dark period in the history of research and race relations.
