REPORT: Trump Is Under Investigation for Violating the ESPIONAGE ACT!!!

Lock him up!!! And throw away the key!!!

Donald Trump is under investigation for obstruction of justice and violating the Espionage Act, according to a search warrant obtained by multiple news outlets showing the FBI retrieved 11 sets of classified documents from Mar-a-Lago.

Meanwhile the former president insisted Friday that everything was 'declassified' and agents 'didn't need to seize anything.'

Some of the documents were marked 'top secret' and are meant to be kept in specialized government facilities, the Wall Street Journal reported after seeing a copy of the search inventory.

"In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information," - Candidate Donald J Trump, Aug. 16, 2016, West Bend, Wisconsin

"On political corruption, we are going to restore honor to our government. In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law." - Candidate Donald J Trump, Aug. 18, 2016, Charlotte NC

"One of the first things we must do is to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information." - Candidate Donald J Trump, Sept 7, 2016, Philadelphia

I could go on, but you get the picture.

@sunsporter1649 Notice how she didn't plead the 5th a single time? In comparison, Trump pleaded the 5th 440 times in 4 hours!!

Quite a comparison - Thanks for bringing that to our attention!

Be honest, if he said he wouldn't run and probably win again, none of this would be happening.
@samueltyler2 No.

When you vote for an actual Presidential elector, you do it by voting for the (known) candidate. You know the candidate(s) BEFORE the election.

When the Legislature selected Senators, there was no requirement for that body to make known any "short list", etc. The average person would only be informed AFTER the fact, via that Legislative action.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SomeMichGuy Actually, the electors in the Electoral College, as I recall, are only obligated on the first ballot. The recent fiasco was an attempt to have electors who were not obligated to vote for the officially elected candidate. Luckily, that didn't happen, if it had, we would be marching down a different national direction.
@samueltyler2 Yes, I am aware that Trump attempted to provide fake slates of Electors. What is your point?

That has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

• In the Presidential case, one votes for the electors pledged to a candidate by voting for the candidate, not the elector, and you may not even *know* the elector for whom you are voting (like here in Michigan). [Yes, there are faithless electors, etc.] These electors are elected for the SOLE purpose of casting their electoral vote, no other.

• In the original Senate assignments you NEVER voted for a known Senate candidate. You voted for your State legislators, not any Senate candidate. You didn't even re-vote just before a new Senate appointment, unless the timing happened to work out that way. Their "elector" status was only one side aspect of a job which was primarily focused on local issues.
Combine this investigation with the fact that Trump wanted to sell nuclear technologies to Saudi Arabia but couldn't get the US government to go along. Then there's the 2 billion Jared got fron MBS.

Has Trump been selling Top Secret Nuclear Documents?
This is exactly who Trump is. Anything for money, anything for a profit.

Do you know whats the classified documents in question? Are you sure they were found in his place? Are you sure those documents were not declassified at trump time? Law is meant to help people but we see rapests get away with it and distroyed girls get shamed, thats what some lowyer do and that's what politicians do with the help of brain washing media. Since day one in trump presidency the media instigated people to riots and demonstrations, now look...Bieden shakes hand with thin air ALMOST ONCE A WEEK and not a single democrate question his mental abilities, as they did with Trump, USA became a joke, did you see the Saudi skitch moking your president weeks before humiliating him by sending a city governer to recieve him in the airport on the other hand, trump went there, treated as a king and walk away with billions.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@inaccessible All that's needed is that they were classified an off-premises, unreported and unsecured.
All available legal paperwork, photos, pictures and Trump's own words indicate they were on his property.

No, he didn't "declassify" them. There would be copious record-keeping and and even declassified documents can't be taken home as scratch paper.

Trump spent eight years brainwashing common citizens. The media only has to report on well-documented processes.

Once you mention Biden's name, you lose. Deflection is automatic disqualification as it doesn't change what Trump and his il did.

"Yes, Mr. Manson, anything to say before your sentencing?"
"Yeah, man, I wanna point out that Jack the Ripper killed people, too, and he was never even punished."
"Well, Mr. Manson, it seem as if you've beaten us at our own game. You are free to go."
@inaccessible
Do you know whats the classified documents in question?
No, do you?

We DO know some are "Top Secret" and some were higher than that, "SCI".

The legal and trust problem is that you can't take, hide, refuse to give up classified material. You can read the section of the US Code mentioned in the warrant for yourself.
Are you sure they were found in his place?
Yes. I don't doubt the FBI, esp. with the history of how this developed (apparently, the security problem of having the classified documents was noticed at an earlier visit).
Are you sure those documents were not declassified at trump time?
I am not sure, no, but this is such a late excuse in the series offered up that it is hard to believe.

Note that declassified materials would be stamped as such.
Law is meant to help people but we see rapests get away with it and distroyed girls get shamed, thats what some lowyer do and that's what politicians do with the help of brain washing media.
Law is meant to help define boundaries and prescribe punishments for overstepping them.

Brain-washing media? Oh, you mean Fox and other *opinion* outlets.
Since day one in trump presidency the media instigated people to riots and demonstrations
BULLSHIT.

Trump encouraged white supremacists and helped instigate the 6 Jan. insurrectionists.
now look...Bieden shakes hand with thin air ALMOST ONCE A WEEK and not a single democrate question his mental abilities,
Almost once a week? Really?
as they did with Trump,
I question anyone who, with ZERO background, education, training, experience, etc., ALWAYS claims he's a genius & the smartest guy in every room. Esp. when those who work closely with him say he won't read and can't be bothered with details.
USA became a joke, did you see the Saudi skitch moking your president weeks before humiliating him by sending a city governer to recieve him in the airport on the other hand, trump went there, treated as a king and walk away with billions.
I don't know what a "Saudi skitch" is, but you really didn't pay attention when Trump was in office.

TRUMP made the US lose international standing. Our long-time allies were so disturbed by him that *Angela Merkel* was hailed at the leader of the free world. He kissed the asses of Putin, Kim, etc. He enabled them & Syria, etc.

He was a disaster.

What disgusts me is I was in the military and handled classified documents. Myself and those I worked with took that very seriously. It’s not just Trump but all politicians privy to classified info mishandle it constantly. Pisses me off!
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955
As POTUS he could classify or declassify almost anything he wanted.
If he wanted to declassify something, he still must follow a process and the docs get stamped as such. In other words, simply saying it's declassified doesn't make it so.

And he's not even entitled to use the White House bathroom, let alone declassify something, once he leaves office. Nor can he take the docs with him, classified or not.
@Bill1372 Yes. If YOU had done this, you'd have been court martialed, and be in a military prison even now, perhaps...?
@beckyromero And any ongoing access to classified info would presumably be controlled (ultimately) by whoever the REAL then-current PotUS would be (Biden, Warren, Sanders, Whitmer, ...).

@softspokenman Thank goodness they didnt call him a criminal mastermind. That would have been flattering the🍆. 😷
@whowasthatmaskedman And an insult to ACTUAL criminal masterminds.

It also looks significant that, in seeking a warrant, the FBI did not invoke code 1924, which is normally used in the case of government employees who hang on to documents they should not have.

Instead the justice department used code 2071, relating to the “concealment, removal, or mutilation” of documentation, and code 1519, concerning the “destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations”.

That suggests that the government has reason to believe that President Trump has done more than just hold on to these documents.

What was he hiding..? Ooooh Trumpy Trumpy Trumpy😂
@SW-User The destruction of documents via the White House toilets...

And note that the AG, by acting as he did--just asking for the docs, and being turned down--allowed Trump to do what he's great at: being his own worst enemy! It gave Trump the chance, as a non-President, to violate the law...as a "civilian"...
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Gotta love this.. But I have to say that I dont believe Trump did this deliberately. Hes not that smart.. Besides... After all this time, Putin would already have all the good stuff.😷

There was nothing corrupt about Bush 41 or Hillary.
@Jimmy2016 For what crimes do you think GWB would be indicted?

Mrs. Clinton has been investigated many times, and nothing was found to rise to the level of a clearly-winnable case.

@Coffeequilt Learn a little civics. Trump is in the wrong - he's a criminal. He's been shown to be and he'll be prosecuted as such. This is no joke, no show. This is reality. Welcome to it. Take your brand of hate somewhere else.
