Should Trump be charged with crimes?

My question is not about whether or not he is guilty of crimes, but whether it would be good for the country as a whole to charge him even if there is ample evidence. I certainly see where there is enough evidence of crimes, but considering 40% of the country is still swallowing his #$%#, I think having him "tried" in the court of public opinion may be the better outcome in the long run. I fear that charging him will only strengthen his support.

if you look at the bigger picture there was enough evidence to indite trump for being directly responsible for incite the insurrection of january the sixth.nobody is above the law and you break the law you should take the consequences of your action .i am not american but i find it so difficult as an outsider to understand why this man can command so much appeal from the american people [trollslayer]

@smiler2012 if you look closely there is no evidence. The evidence is overwhelming towards the frame up.

@MasterLee Stop trying to play the straw man card
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@zonavar68 straw man? What evidence do you have?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@MasterLee i find that difficult to understand where you accuse your own judicial system of corruption . you are suggesting evidence was fabricated to frame trump, he tried the legal road to have the election result annulled but when that failed more drastic action was taken
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 because not hearing a case does not mean he was defeated in court.

Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.

No evidence to what you suggest.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 but in the case of january the sixth was that the case was there not violence
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 Yup, a cop shot and killed an unarmed citizen, for which he was awarded a medal
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 so you are seriously suggesting that trump had no hand in this what so in this incitement. there must be tangible evidence he did and it is in the public interest that they indite all the criminals who physically took part or incited it
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 Yup, a cop shot and killed an unarmed citizen, for which he was awarded a medal.

@sunsporter1649 Ashli Babbitt. Only death on J6. Badly trained cop shot her. An unarmed peaceful protestor.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 that is a tragedy somebody was killed the grounds of the shooting would of been investigated by the police. i do not think the police are so crass to treat there officers as a brave hero for shooting somebody dead in cold blood with a good reason would you
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 then again the capitol police are governed by the most corrupt congress in my lifetime.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 He got a medal for it, so I can only surmise that it is approved
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 but we need to be aware of the facts that lead to the shooting . was this guy a danger too others was he armed facts we need too know before being critical of the police actions
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 LOL, so suddenly you are supporting police brutality, eh! Quite a change
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 you call it that the guy who was shot sadly must of been warned before the policeman fired . i am sure the policeman followed police procedure, just think that policeman has this death on his conscience for the rest of his days
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 The "guy" was an unarmed female veteran
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@sunsporter1649 no warning.
