Because they and their cronies have nothing to GAIN from aiding the men and women who have served our country. They don’t care about honor, service and sacrifice. All they do is give money that is not theirs to money laundering countries that aid and abet their thievery.

I watched The Maidan Massacre last night. It deals with Ukraine after the government rejected a deal with the EU. People protested and if anyone thinks 6 Jan was a big deal, they might want to view that video.
The problems they suffer may well be because of our interference in their political issues. Our government was well involved in a coup d’ etat under the Obama administration.
Who was his VP? Joe Biden. A history of Joe and his son in Ukraine
IMO this massive funding to Ukraine by the administration is a means to cover up Biden’s dealings there.
And from what news reports say, the Russians are making headway, militarily.

Every dollar we send to Ukraine reduces Russia's military capability by a factor of 5 or 10. It's money extremely well spent. Mitt Romney was right; "Russia, this is, without question, our number one geopolitical foe." We're spending about $55 billion on Ukraine.

For comparison, our F-35 program will cost about $1.5 trillion, and it's still loaded with deficiencies.

Not sure where Mitt is getting his numbers from but this is more about China than anything else. The sad thing is what is ideal for US foreign policy is actually worse for Ukraine, and Russia.
