If people hate Joe Rogan for having anti-vaxxers on his show, does that mean we can hate Oprah since she had Trump on her show?

Like, more than a few times?
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Did having Trump on her show kill people?

Do you not grasp what pushing lies about Covid has done?

Literally has cost people their lives.

I don't agree with what is being done to Spotify. I think we should be going after the big dogs.

But..Joe pushes false information that is dangerous.

I dare you to go to an antivaxxer space on Facebook. The crazy is deep.

@JaggedLittlePill well he has the most popular podcast in the world with a mostly male audience that i am sure they would agree on what he speaks about. So do they not count?
seriously if these links are the best you can come up with trying to back up what you claimed about him. It is truly sad
@MickRogers Rogan is worse than anti vac. He pushes discredited nonsense while maintaining plausible deniability. And for the record, no one is required to be on Spotify. It’s an evil company anyway that only exists to screw over small acts while the big ones make a fortune from fake listeners.
Wow, that's a CLASSIC straw man fallacy!!

People don't hate Joe Rogan, people hate the dangerous misinformation he spreads. Personally I like Joe Rogan. I hate avoidable deaths though.

Now I have no idea who fed these people the misinformation that led them to make their stupid choices, but let's not make the problem worse.

"I have an immune system"

"99 probs vax ain't 1"

"Officer Jack Nyce was a 17-year veteran of the force, the police department said in a statement on its Facebook page announcing his death. Sadly, he refused to be vaxxed and died of Covid."

Kelly Ernby

Republican official H. Scott Apley who mocked COVID in final Facebook post dies of virus in Texas

I hate the word anti-vaxer, most aren’t anti vax, just a word they use to spread hate.

People need to silence joe, so they spread hate about him.
They don’t want the likes of him having guests that know the truth.

By trying to silence him, they did the opposite and made it bigger.

Truth speaks Louder than lies.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Fairydust I draw the line when people are dying because they believe things the other side says. A friend of mine is now dead because their coworkers wouldn't get vaccinated.
Fairydust · F
@LordShadowfire so you’ve blaming the unvaccinated? When everyone passes it on. The vaccinated pass it on also!

Oh but if you’re not vaccinated you must be a super spreader, even if you don’t have covid, lies they spread.

You really have no idea!! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Fairydust 99% of the people in hospitals are unvaccinated. Who do you think is passing it on?
Graylight · 51-55, F
Well, yes, if you're age 6 or younger, you are hereby allowed to hate something because your friend hated something else first. Does this feel better>

People don't 'hate' Joe Rogan "for having anti-vaxxers on his show." He's in trouble for a long-running pattern of racial epithets, some of them meant to hurt, and for knowingly spreading scientifically disproven medical advice and information.

That you would defend such behavior says much.
Fairydust · F
He was targeted before they showed the mash up video.
This has been a hate campaign to bring him down! The elite that want to cover up anything that goes against what they are trying to do, has nothing to do with racism.
It’s about control and making sure the public don’t know what’s going on underneath this crazy two years.
Bad things are happening that they are trying to cover up.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Fairydust It's illegal to spread disinformation, as he has been proven to do. Check out 18 U.S. Code § 35 - Imparting or conveying false information.

It's racist to establish a pattern of epithets and humor at the expense of a minority.

If Joe Rogan was building houses for the homeless or addressing extreme sports, he'd find no problem. But he's a racists, a sexists and a liar. That's why he's in trouble.

And the "he's not guilty because you guys didn't find out about it until later" defense? Nope.
redredred · M
Now, now, you can’t hold cancelpussies to the standard of reason. It’s not fair since they have so little contact with reason.
room101 · 51-55, M
@redredred No, I don't want to rant. If anybody is ranting, it's your good self. You are the one who is bandying about all of the usual GOP catchphrases which, in and of themselves, are fundamentally meaningless.

You lay down a challenge about fair taxation and bet that nobody would be able to define one. I gave you an actual tax rate currently implemented in the UK.

You then started ranting about rights. A topic which I find hilarious when uttered by Republicans. Even as the ink was drying on your beloved Bill of Rights, pretty much every word was demonstrably false. Of course we had the same issues in Europe. BUT, we have learned from them and tried to move forward.

Your next tactic is to scream about fairness. History and current affairs show us, unequivocally, that an unfettered market economy is by its very nature exploitative and ultimately unsustainable. As has been pointed out to you by @Neoerectus. And yet you insist that it's "unfair" for those most able to pay into the social contract in which they reside and benefit from.

@room101 Conservative Game #131: Red Herring

I bet you can't even tell me [fill in the blank].

[fills in the blank]

That's preposterous!

[Doesn't matter, I did as you asked]

I'll make another argument to deflect from the one I just lost.

[yawn]

You're not listening, you hate legitimate political discourse!
room101 · 51-55, M
@Graylight I don't know............maybe there's something wrong with me...........for enjoying playing their silly game😂😂😂
Oprah is not responsible for Trump’s career. She is responsible for Dr. Phil and for Dr. Oz to some degree. Also, the “wagon of fat” episode. But the real problem is her promotion of John of God, who was later convicted of raping several hundred women at his cult in Brazil.
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
People have stopped realizing the difference between entertainment and actual news reporting. Rogan has a show where he gets high and talks shit with his bros. It’s not news, it’s an entertainment podcast..
I have no use for Joe Rogan, but having an anti-vaxxer on his show, someone who is a doctor and well qualified to have a valid opinion was the right thing to do. The government is trying to cancel this doctor out because he won't march in lock step with Fauci.
The CDC has become nothing but a mouthpiece and cheering section for the Biden administration. Fauci and the CDC has lost all credibility with me.
@LordShadowfire Not at all, I had both vaccines and the booster, but they don't seem to be working very well. I hope pharma keeps working on new vaccines, but Dr Malone, who is qualified to have speak on vaccines should be allowed his opinion and not be railroaded by the Biden administration simply because he doesn't agree with Fauci.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@independentone I apologize for my assumptions. The trouble is, people who disagree with Fauci are primarily people who deal in fantasy and pretend vaccines are invented by Bill Gates to put a 5G chip in you.
@LordShadowfire That is true, most of the so called base, are uneducated yahoos who just spout talking points. However there are some people out there, who are qualified to speak about vaccines, and viruses, and they don't all agree.
Listen to Malone on Rogans podcast, it's kind of long, but Dr Malone is no idiot, and though I don't agree with all he is saying, he does make plenty of valid points.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
hell yeah!
we can hate for little or no reason these days

we don't even have to think!!!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Pretzel Speak for yourself.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire just and observation on all the hate and discontent in the last few years - seems like we have become less and less tolerant
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Pretzel Meh... you're right.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
Orpah Didn't help Trumps Career he was already Famous Oprah Helped Dr Phill & Dr Oz Careers
OggggO · 36-40, M
A better reason would be because she started the television careers of Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz, as well as regularly featuring all kinds of absolutely horrible bogus health information. Trump was already famous and good at self-promotion, he'd have been roughly the same with or without being on her show, but it's hard to estimate the amount of damage she caused by giving major boosts to medical frauds.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
I support what He's fighting for. Just don't like him in person.

I watch a few of his Podcast. seems straight forward but other then that. eh
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Rogan is basically Gwyneth Paltrow for bros - Oprah is a threat to the entire human race.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
I have hated Oprah nearly my entire life so 🤷‍♂️
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@QuixoticSoul not many celebrities like her 😂
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@QuixoticSoul She's just so preachy.
ZashaKitty · 26-30, F
I already do hate Oprah though lol
Graylight · 51-55, F
@ZashaKitty No free cars for you. 😉
ZashaKitty · 26-30, F
@Graylight lol dang it

And literally KKK members

There's a difference there. Donald Trump was the president. Joe Rogan has never had the president of the United States on his show. And let's be honest, Donald Trump being the germaphobe that he is, he probably wouldn't go within 20 miles of that overrated frat boy.
