This is the biggest overstatement of an exaggeration that I have ever heard. In case you don't know, energy is what fuels the modern world. Now, that being said there is a balance that can be achieved between our environmental necessities and keeping life livable for the total population with reasonable hydro bills and access to the energy that keeps society moving forward.
@MarkPaul Your energy claim is pretty much irrelevant to anything I've said. The pipeline's main motive is to give jobs to Canadians and build the economy, not necessarily that it's "the best way to conserve energy."
Besides, even if that were the case, it would still be irrelevant to what I said. I laid out a simple train of logic and you have failed to show how it's wrong. I'll try again:
- Natives have inhabited the land for over hundreds of thousands of years and have kept it in working order this whole time.
- Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have decided that a pipeline needs to be built so people can have jobs.
- Natives don't want this pipeline built on their land yet Trudeau and the Liberals wish overrule them.
@MickRogers He's just as much of a native as any of the rest of us. You are so filled with self-righteous anger that you don't even know what you are arguing for or against. Follow the logic trail (like a child)...
1. The modern world needs energy. 2. The pipeline is one tool to provide energy. 3. Jobs is a useful by-product (a bonus). 4. Caring for the environment (protecting the land) and producing energy can both be accomplished. 5. This is a win-win.
@MickRogers You mentioned Native Groups, dude. Besides if the pipeline will benefit the larger community over a much smaller one. The Government is going to do it.
@swirlie When the average liberal's best response "yOu'Re jUsT a TrUmP sUpPoRtEr" you know you aren't dealing with someone who's intelligent enough for an adult conversation.
I can guarantee you that you score more right-wing points on the political compass than me. I don't advocate for capitalism or a nation state (like what Canada is), which means, if you do support those things, you're the conservative out of both of us. That's how it works.
