@Notanymore Either you accept the premise that all Republicans are anti-civil rights (racist) and all Democrats are pro-civil rights. Or you reject that premise and understand that civil rights is broader than politics, parties or left and right wings. The city protests last year were about police profiling, targeting and killing African Americans.

The only thing GOP was protesting in the Capitol was Trump’s losing the election.

@bijouxbroussard personally. And this is just my opinion,is that American politics is the wedge that drives Americans apart. I don't believe trump ahould be our leader. I damn sure don't believe that Biden should or hilary or Obama or bush. I think politics have failed us. I don't believe that looting and destroying cities is any kind of answer to bring in much needed police reform or racial acceptance. I believe the media is turning all into angry people and pointing us at each other to keep themselves from being blamed.

@Thorstormbringer No. I cant. Nor would I want to take away a single thing from all the sacrifice, effort and achievent of all those who went before. The world owes a debt that cant be paid to every one of them. Not that they were perfect. But men of their time who did a job for the world that needed doing. Lets also throw in the Austronauts and engineers of the Space Program that put boots on the moon. American boots. But also the boots of the human race. I am happy to give credit where its due.
But I think every one of those people what turn in their graves to see the political and corporate leaders of the current generation and how they were stripping the nation and defrauding the ordinary people at home and abroad. Thats not what they sacrificed for..😷
