If the virus keeps mutating like in the UK he will have a difficult task controlling it without the cooperation of the whole country. I hope the virus gets under control but i think it will take a lot longer than people imagine. I dont mean to be negative but from where I am in the UK the vaccine isnt going to change much because people who have had the vaccine still wear masks & socially distance.
The vaccine doesnt prevent people from getting the virus it only lessens the danger if serious illness or death.
Our health minister let slip that there would be no holidays abroad till 2022.

I'm hoping the 100 million vaccinated in 100 days will really help. Since we have 4% of the worlds population, I would be happy to see our death toll go down to the level of what other developed countries have achieved.

We'll know in 3-4 months whether the steps Biden has taken have been successful or not. Given the fact that we are still in a growth phase for cases, and deaths lag cases by a month or more, it could easily be March before we start to see any declines in deaths. Assuming we're able to achieve the 100 million vaccinations in the first 100 days, we should start seeing declines by then.

Really what more can u do then what we are doing?

Hmmm maybe even less considering a proper quarantine/lockdown can drop the numbers very easily within 2 months.

Biden will start having to own the trajectory relatively soon, imo - hopefully between vaccinations and restrictions we will start seeing things leveling out.
