Let me get this straight.
President Trump want's to give us $2000 and give small businesses the majority of the Stimulus. Congress wants to give us a $600 slap in the face, and fund the rest of the world, but Trump's the bad guy??? 🤔🤔🤔

Yeah, and here's why. The Democrats in Congress have tired for the better part of eight months to introduce legislation that would've paid citizens right around $2,000. It's been laughed back each and every time in favor of parsimony.
For a year the President has had the easy ability to ease the suffering of a nation and has chosen at every turn not to, instead executing people as fast as he can, pardoning child killers and conning money from his followers.
His cries now for "the American People" are hollow, late and insufficient. None of us deserve to be part of a pathetic attention grab.

Trump never does anything to help others unless it's in his best interests.. Trying to overturn 4 years of mismanagement, a year of flagrant obstacle causing re COVID and now he thinks $2000 will mean people forget all his ass-wipe behaviour, all his misinformation, lies and damage because he tries to bribe them?
Might work for the really stupid, aka the Trump supporters but not everyone else.. and have you ever considered the massive hit that that would have on your precious economy? The economy you all bleated about loyally when it seemed to be doing better.. you know, the thing you said was more important than whether Trump lies or not?

Unfortunately the people that already don’t like Trump will say everything he does is bad and he’s the bad guy, even if he happens to do something that is not bad or positive. I for one am glad that he infused some realism into the lives of Clueless Congressional Pork Barrel elites whose omnibus spending bill would endanger the futures of all our children.
Is anyone surprised that Porky Pelosi is so into museums and funding other countries while stiffing the American families who are in such desperate need after almost a year of Covid19 restrictions and joblessness?
But of course the media can spin that because it will cause a delay to fix that.

@carpediem Lazy thinking. Most politicians are attorneys, medical professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs or investors.
The people you mock probably have more education than do you or me. They have been financially successful. Many are in touch with their constituents' needs, many others are not. "Politicians" are not formless things any more than politics is just a racket. These are the same people you and I vote (or don't vote) for, whom we choose to represent us when we can't be there, whose job security hinges on our satisfaction with the job they've done. Politicians don't happen; we create them. If you don't like them, create better.

@Graylight If anyone knows anything about being lazy it would be a liberal. And I don't "create" people. I have quite a bit experience in local political activity having previously been a party chair in my county for over a decade. I saw the level of activism and that is what I'm referring to. They are driven by getting elected and re-elected. Very limited representation on either side. Unless of course you happen to be a large contributor.

The funding for any other country is not part of the Stimulus package and Congress has had a Bill waiting for Mitch since May that would pay people 2000. Mitch didn't bring that Bill to the Senate to br voted on because he wanted Corporations to be protected from being sued for unsafe workplaces.

This argument, either side of it, presupposes one is okay with the government removing someone’s ability to make a living then squabbling over the size of the spoon their rights and denied income are fed back to them. I rather see the strongest economy in history to reopen.
