You can only vote on one answer.
I will put a poll up but I would love to hear people reasons why in the comments below.
Also let me know if I should add more options to the poll
Thank you!

You're missing national on your pole. That dude, doesn't cut it since it's a four way power play on the federal level.

@RightSaidFred the Michelle reference was uncalled for is all! Same would go for Melania equally.

I think it depends on the topic and situation.. The way thins are politically today I think Nationally there should be more control.. Things are out of control and the miss information that is being sent out is disturbing....
Generally the central government has the most power with in descending order; the state; the county and finally city government. During the current pandemic, alot of power has fallen to the individual states. The mayor's have had to deal with the recent riots and protests... unless they activated the National Guard or asked for federal support. The states still in dealing with major crisis are dependent on and subservient to the federal government. For example, activating FEMA for hurricanes or other disasters. A prime example of the national government being in control occurred following 911 when the federal government stepped in and took over all security elements starting with flights and border control.

That’s one of the founding debates of the US, and a theme that runs through the Constitution.

I am in favor of decentralized government. The Federal government has a tendency to become too big and bloated to act. However, they have control of the money from federal taxes.

State governments are out of control in some states. I think each town and city knows it's own citizens best, but I also think that impeaching mayors and town or city councils and legislatures should be directly in the hands of the people.

I believe in federalism and the Supremacy Clause in our Constitution.
depends on what KIND of power!
I like local control for local issues, but many issues are bigger than my locale.
the the fed hadle parks and defense and most international things, and to support the real infrastructure of the nation, protect the nation form big money power defend natural resources not sell them
Locals should decide what kind of place they want to live in, life style and pace,

We are states united. More power should be at the state level. 🤷‍♀️

My thoughts are that neither should have more power, local government should be focused on items specific to their region giving a sharp focus to individual towns, villages and areas whilst national government should direct the country on a high level, whole entity basis. Neither should cross over the other.

I think all power should go to dogs. Dogs are sweet. They will take care of everyone in the whole country. If we get bored we can throw a stick for them and teach them tricks. Let’s hire a sweet puppy dog.

I can understand “state’s rights” to some extent. That’s why my state has legal recreational pot. But I don’t think civil rights should ever be based upon majority vote. We’ve been getting that one wrong for hundreds of years.

I think it depends on what power you’re talking about

Local as long as it follows national laws set by congress.
