Right from the "Experts" mouth...

This was experimental studies on cells in culture, with a different virus. Maybe they followed it up with animal studies or even human trials. Trials of chloroquine with Covid 19 show no benefit and possible harmful side effects. There are trials ongoing but at the moment it seems unlikely it will be of any use.

The heck is "nw-connection.com"?

As a plus they're talking about SARS-CoV, which isn't even the virus that is causing the ongoing pandemic (SARS-CoV was defeated in 2005), SARS-CoV-2 is another beast.

Nonsense. It's taken out of context.
It's a series of direct quotes from the advertising from the religious cult that was selling common household cleaning agents as a cure for COVID-19.
Fauci was reporting on the problem with the false advertising.
Fauci was warning the government about the dangers of the ads, NOt recommending the chemicals as a cure.

Go online.
read the original ads.
The read the report, and see for yourself.

WOW, that is so cool. It has nothing to do with Covid-19. SARS is not Covid-19.

Let's start at the beginning:
"chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells."
This according to the study. This is a preliminary study on which subsequent research was based. That subsequent research yielded negative results for Covid-19.

Here, this might help: https://www.healthline.com/health/coronavirus-vs-sars#whats-a-coronavirus

The article goes on to state:
"Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-CoV). No effective prophylactic or post-exposure therapy is currently available."
This from a meta analysis (a study that examines all previous studies on a topic):
In conclusion, although we could not draw a clear conclusion for the recommendation of potential therapies for COVID-19 considering the very low quality of evidence and wide heterogeneity of interventions and indications, our results may help clinicians to comprehensively understand the advantages and drawbacks of each anti-coronavirus agents on efficacy and safety profiles. Lopinavir/ritonavir combinations might observe better virological eradication capability than other anti-coronavirus agents. Conversely, ribavirin might cause more safety concerns especially bradycardia. Thus, large RCTs objectively assessing the efficacy of antiviral therapies for SARS-CoV-2 infections should be conducted with high priority.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1043661820311804
Recent studies showed it does not work. Science gets revised all the time.

@RandomForest They don't get that. To them, Spanish and Portuguese are the same thing. Japanese and Korean are identical. Key differences can't be focused on when there are whole worlds of things to be grouped into only binary categories.

JFC. Take FIVE SECONDS to research this stuff before spreading misinformation.

Like are you trying to get people killed? The fuck is wrong with you? This is irresponsible and dangerous.

This study was about SARS-CoV which is an entirely different virus from Covid-19. Just because they're both coronaviruses doesn't mean you use the same medicine for every virus of a single type.

Secondly, it was done on FUCKING PRIMATES and not humans and follow-up studies showed it isn't very effective with humans.

Title: Chlroquine does not inhibit infection of human lung cells with SARS-CoV-2.

This is dangerous misinformation and you should be fucking ashamed for spreading it so irresponsibly.

You are so far right that you literally think medical advice is a government conspiracy against you.
So JT, since you have so much faith in Trump, are you also injecting lysol into your blood stream? I hope you are also using that UV light butt plug.
Stay safe dude, drink the new cherry flavored Clorox, but use 2 hands when drinking.
You obviously don't know how to do research.

At least he's consistent with the back peddling
Show's over, folks.
This fake news is DOA.
Thanks to all the people in this thread who contributed to giving the real situation and not the distorted version of reality presented in the pic.
