Is he accusing hospitals of flipping medical supplies for profit?
Trump noted suspiciously that hospitals are now asking for many more masks than they used to, before the coronavirus appeared. “How do you go from [10,000] to 20,000 masks [prior to the pandemic] — to 300,000…” he said, “Something’s going on. And you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door?
Perhaps it’s the same way you go from 15 cases to 150,000 in a few weeks. Does he not realize the longer he waits to do something, the bigger that something will have to be?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
More than just that. Masks are NOT supposed to be reused!!!

You take it off then you absolutely should get a new one.

I suppose he doesn't expect people to eat or drink anything all day! That's just a minimum of three a day and many of those working are on 10 to 12 hour shifts.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@DeWayfarer Perhaps? I heard the governor talking about it today!
Not perhaps.

I don't appreciate false accusations either.
I don't know how they would affect things actually being done.
The people working on this are motivated by need, not by cheer-leading.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Budwick every state has different standards. That is why I say perhaps. I believe Germany also came up with something. Yet again standards.

🤣 Good one!

The man calling himself the president is unfit for office in every way.

Shame on Trump. Instead of supplying the hospitals what they need to combat this disease and be safe themselves, instead he accuses them of hoarding or stealing the masks.

They risk everyday of themselves getting sick without the proper preventative clothing, masks, etc. Someone needs to put him in with someone that is very sick with this virus and see how he responds.
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair Thanks, I couldn't spell her name. lol But she was asking a very appropriate question, something the president can't stand. She is always very professional and makes Trump look like the fool he is.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JeanAnna She does, but Trump's racist supporters love the condescending way he treats her and puts her "in her place."
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair I know, shows again how really stupid and racist they are.
daisymay · 46-50, T
Obviously the NY healthcare professionals are all mobbed up thugs looking to make a quick buck on the black market. It's the only possible conclusion one can make.

It shouldn't bother any Trumpansies, though. Why would they need a mask for a hoax virus made up from whole cloth by liberals?
daisymay · 46-50, T
@windinhishair
when red states start taking a bigger hit
The governors aren't going to tell him, he ordered them to keep their lousy mouths shut about anything that might reflect poorly on him else they'll be turned into a lib.

I'm afraid it will be down to the voting base itself, and, let's be honest here, they're nothing but a bunch of racist chucklefucks that believe science and education are tools of the Devil. There is no way they would ever be able to withstand the sheer and awesome power that is Little Donnie Ladyfingers' ego. He'll keep telling them how great he is and they will keep lapping it up.
LvChris · 41-45, M
@daisymay Remember that it's Trump we're talking about. If he is telling you that he thinks the hospitals are black-marketing masks, it's because he's black marketing masks. He literally cannot think or see beyond himself. Everything he's accused others of doing is stuff that he has done or is doing. Not even joking or hating. That's just reality. If someone looked in to it, I'm sure they'll find he's back alley profiting on these masks.
daisymay · 46-50, T
@LvChris
Not even joking or hating. That's just reality.
I know this. You know this. Practically everyone does. Even a lot of Trumpansies. The ones that do know just don't care, because, after all, owning libs is what everything is about. So lying and abetting liars is perfectly acceptable and not an affront to the deity that is the architect of their supposedly strongly-held religious beliefs.

Hell, if I'd known that when I was a kid, I might not have realized their deity was imaginary quite as easily, or if I did I wouldn't care because I would know that literally everything your typical bible-thumping shithead preaches to you about means jack shit and you can lie, cheat, steal and never give a whit about the fate of your soul.

Oh well, I guess I'll just keep being a better person than every single one of them without pretending it's because I have such a strong connection with a guy mentioned in a book I never read. 🤷‍♀️

As if that idiot knows anything about isolation or anything medical-related...
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion How are you doing there. A bit concerned, and little is reported from where you are.
DunningKruger · 56-60, M
Mostly he's deflecting in an asinine (and ultimately failed) attempt to deflect any sort of blame for this debacle coming his way.
daisymay · 46-50, T
@DunningKruger
(and ultimately failed)
You're kidding yourself, you know that, don't you? Every single one of his supporters will go wheezing to their grave that Obama was to blame.
DunningKruger · 56-60, M
@daisymay History will judge him accordingly.
daisymay · 46-50, T
@DunningKruger History is written by the winners/survivors. And is, frankly, little to no comfort in the here and now regardless of who those people end up being.
Selah ·
He should resign in shame
JeanAnna · F
@Selah Yes he should. But he's blaming Obama for this. He has been in office for 3-1/2 years he should have been anticipating something like this happening, instead he called it a hoax.
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Narcissists don’t feel shame @Selah
Trump is projecting, because selling them at a huge profit is exactly what Trump the businessman would do
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair I've noticed it a lot lately, maybe it's those Big Macs getting to him, you think?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair 👍️😊
What would you have him do? What have most nations and their leaders done?

If they could spray the country with vaccine from crop dusters, they would. But there's no vaccine.

They can ask us to stay home. They have, repeatedly. Many don't.

They can tell us to wash our hands. They have told us. Many are but to many it's a theme for hilarious memes. Not that laughter is bad.

They flubbed the testing at the onset and are playing catchup. True.

This pandemic is just that, a pandemic. Short of declaring martial law (which for President Trump, would fly like a lead balloon, especially early on) they have to ask for our willing cooperation.

Whether anybody on the planet likes it or doesn't, President Trump is the US president. He is ham-handed and fights dirty. So does everybody else.

It would be an interesting exercise if each of us could, even for one hour, comprehend what it's like to be responsible for 327.2 million people, (half of whom hate you), their economy, their health, and their continual reviews of the job you're doing.

It was a stupid thing to say. He may have meant it, or it may be another of his mis-guided missiles directed at the press.

Whatever else President Trump is, he is not a statesman. I regret that sometimes, but at this moment in time, it matters little to me.

There probably ARE masks being sold for profit. Even hospitals hire people and people seize opportunities, sometimes unethical ones. That doesn't matter to me either. What matters is that the people who can DO something are at the hospitals and clinics and doctor's offices, DOING something, and I am grateful for them.

Editing and critiquing is done after the fact, at leisure.

What he has done is, with some but surprisingly limited difficulty, managed a stimulus package to offer people some hope. That matters.
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Maybe get supplies to the people that need them? Not resort to pettiness like not calling governors in a time of a crisis.

He doesn’t even comprehend what it’s like to be responsible for that many that people. @Mamapolo2016
Joeyyy · 26-30, M
Do you believe in quarentining NY?. I don't know what else could be done. You've gotta blame the mayor a little bit as well as he told people to just ignore it and it was fine when action should have been taken (he was told by health advisers and he ignored them).
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Isn’t that what police are for? You’re asking me for what reason? @Joeyyy
Joeyyy · 26-30, M
@NenaRussa Good god I just wanted your opinion since you seem to be so interested in it. nvm
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
I stated my opinion in the post, a solution is beyond my pay grade @Joeyyy
tenente · 100+, M
Seems you’ve bought into the liberal snowflake democrat conspiracy fake news hoax...don’t you know it’s the hoarding hospitals, ungrateful governors and / or Obama’s fault? Nothing is Trumps fault
