Racism, willful ignorance, tribalism or willfully uninformed?

Why do Republicans believe the economic recovery began in 2017 instead of 2010?

Is that how Republicans operate...they demonize their opponents and take credit for their accomplishments by stealing their merits? Through deception and lies they create crisis and then resolve it to their credit? Because they know after a while, the ignorant will follow them like a bunch of lemmings to their destruction?

Are trump supporters unable to go online or understand basic graphs?

Also, why do they believe it was trump who alone brought down the unemployment rate down to 3.6? When he took office it was 4.9 which means it only went down 1.3 points. In 2.5 yrs.

Are trump supporters unwilling to accept it was a black President who saved their economy? They refuse to believe that President Obama took us from disaster to a decent recovery. They forget how far things fell under Bush, and how far Obama brought us.

Racism, or simply fear? Fear of being overtaken in the census by non-whites? Or is that racism?

Do you think Obama’s economy will collapse under trump faster than Clinton’s economy did under W’s?

Has the GOP morphed into a classic cult around trump? From where I'm sitting, it meets all the accepted definitions of cult-like behavior. There’s no other explanation for their blindness and eagerness to overlook his corruption.

It's very simple. Trump made no financial decisions until well into his term. But he says the economy was HORRIBLE until 2017, then within only a few months, he alone was able to turn the economy around. And they believe it. Is this why trump "loves the poorly educated"?

Do you think Republicans will believe whatever suits their narrative if it means not giving Obama the credit that he deserves? How could they forget the wrecked economy Bush left for Obama?

So may questions, so little time...

"Is that how Republicans operate ?" - yep.

"Are trump supporters unable to go online or understand basic graphs?"

- Trump supporters range along a gamut from Plain Stupid > Wilfully Ignorant > Morally Bankrupt (Evangelicals) > Overtly Racist. The common denominator is that they are fully prepared to believe any old shit that they are told. Facts are irrelevant in their new world order. It's all about 'owning the Dems'. Nothing else matters.

Bottom line.
Current Unemployment Rate - 3.6%
There are more jobs available than people to fill them.

Obama's numbers were never easy to nail down. Here's a synopsis from fact check [pretty friendly with the left.
The numbers are nearly all in now. What they show about what really happened during the eight years that Barack Obama was president is sometimes different from what politicians claimed.

The economy gained a net 11.6 million jobs. The unemployment rate dropped to below the historical norm.
Average weekly earnings for all workers were up 4.0 percent after inflation. The gain was 3.7 percent for just production and nonsupervisory employees.
After-tax corporate profits also set records, as did stock prices. The S&P 500 index rose 166 percent.
The number of people lacking health insurance dropped by 15 million. Premiums rose, but more slowly than before.
The federal debt owed to the public rose 128 percent. Deficits were rising as Obama departed.
Home prices rose 20 percent. But the home ownership rate hit the lowest point in half a century.
Illegal immigration declined: The Border Patrol caught 35 percent fewer people trying to get into the U.S. from Mexico.
Wind and solar power increased 369 percent. Coal production declined 38 percent. Carbon emissions from burning fossil fuel dropped 11 percent.
Production of handguns rose 192 percent, to a record level.
The murder rate dropped to the lowest on record in 2014, then rose and finished at the same rate as when Obama took office.

Unemployment? They don't know or are embarrassed to say.

It’s called facts . Something libs tend to ignore when they are on the wrong side of them .

Basically, yes. Trump won his supporters largely because of fear tactics and racism. That was his platform, after all, about “taking America back” (from the black guy) and “making America great again” (circa 1950). So the people who support him are willing to believe anything he says. They still believe Obama is foreign born, his birth certificate didn’t mean anything to them. Trump is free to be openly racist, which frees them up, too. That’s why hate crimes have been increasing.

Record number of people unemployed and on assistance is NOT recovery. As was the case in 2010

@JP1119 Excellent shape, eh?

Where did you get those numbers? I Googled real GDP growth Obama, and I got a line graph where the line doesn’t go any higher since Trump took office than it does at Obama’s highest point, and a bar graph that goes by years instead of quarters, and it shows 2018 at 2.9%, which equals Obama’s highest number but is still well below the 4-6% Trump promised on the campaign trail. The line graph was Bureau of Economics/Haver Analytics.@sunsporter1649

Why do Democrats post loaded, biased questions like this, then pretend they are impartial or neutral? Just say what you mean. You hate the Republicans because Democrat propagandists told you to.

I have stopped trying to apply logic and reasoning to Republicans. It's a useless cause.

I am waiting patiently for Democrats to fuel their base and come out with a strong opposition that fuels not only blue states but red as well.
So far ... crickets.

@breezyboo The dnc already has a platform that fuels their base, its called impeachturbation

@ISpeakTheTruth That’s Because he started from a low point that he inherited from W. He turned it around dramatically. Trump inherited an excellent economy from Obama through no merit of his own, so of course his numbers are going to be “high”. He would have to do something absolutely disasterous to get “low” numbers. As usual, Trump was born on third base, and he’s bragging that he hit a triple.
