@BlueMetalChick I don't think the US should have stayed as long as it has. Obama could have withdrawn. Trump said he was going to, now apparently isn't. I knew once troops are over there, they will stay.
@SheikYerbouti Which is why I was as upset at Obama as I am at Trump now. Maybe even more. Trump took Obama's seven wars and added two. Obama took Bush's two wars and added five. So by numbers alone, Obama was the worse of the two. But Trump is trying to start shit in Venezuela and Iran, the latter of which would be an exponentially worse disaster than all the others. Not to mention his national security advisor, John Bolton, wants to invade North Korea, Cuba, and Guatemala as well.
@BlueMetalChick I even question whether or not Bin Laden was behind 9/11. The official conspiracy theory of 9/11 that most people accept is not true.

Does it really matter? Is a single person going to change their mind based on who the Democrats nominate? If you support Trump on May 26, 2019, you’re still going to support him on November 3, 2020. If you’re opposed to him today, you’re going to be opposed to him in a year and a half. They could hold the election tomorrow between Trump and a Democrat to be named later, and the result will be the same. The country has been completely and fully polarized with battle lines fully drawn and sides chosen. Then when it’s all over, whoever wins will be up against the most lethargically ineffectual governing body in the history of the planet, the United States Congress. At this point, American politics is the equivalent of squabbling over deck chair positioning on the Titanic.
@SW-User The Democratic nomination could determine voter turnout, which was very low in the previous election (because Hillary sucks). And while Congress is in a state of absolute gridlock, foreign policy is basically up for grabs, and Sanders' foreign policy is very different from Trump's and Biden's.
@BlueVeins snigger ... oh really.... well thanks for the lecture.. we differ on that.. I think Strumpet got elected because there's a lot of idiots and unfortunately the sane ones didn't turn out in good enough numbers. For sure NO ONE has even thought to hold Strumpet to any kind of standards whatsoever and they seem to ignore and even condone his lying, pathetic ass-like behaviour/
@Adaydreambeliever The majority of people who voted for him did so knowing that he was a dick and disapproving, but were so afraid of Hillary that they supported him anyway. Some of the Trumpies legitimately were idiots, but there aren't enough idiots in this country to win a national election.
@BlueVeins indeed.. we agree.. this reinforces what I said.. people seem to have NO standards.. and don't care if an asshole imbecile runs the country.. that's INCREDIBLY worrying and the opposite of what you were saying about holding politicians to account and standards. I would sincerely hope there weren't enough idiots of that kind to win a national election.. but the evidence and Trumpeteers on here sure to refute that ..
Definitely Sanders. Biden is a sad excuse for a liberal, and he's definitely not a progressive. He's basically just Hillary Clinton in a pair of Groucho glasses. Unlike Sanders, Biden supported the Iraq War and the man continues to support marijuana prohibition to this day. He flip-flops on key issues like nobody's business and his campaign commercial had no goddamn substance.
Biden is basically Hillary Clinton 2.0 and would be another status quo, business-as-usual president. He'd be better than Trump, but just barely. If Trump is a 0% then Biden would be a 10%.
@AnonymouslyYours I am a socialist; of course I am a socialist. To hold a vision that society can be fundamentally different, to believe that all people can be equal - that is not a new idea.
Bernie Sanders
I think he wants major changes which I don't think we can sustain.
@curiosi America is already a socialist country. It's simply socialism for rich people. Which is why your and my tax money goes towards corporate welfare.
They would both eff up the country abysmally. Sanders would do the most harm to us financially, and we might not recover. Biden is not too bright, and he is the favorite choice of the Dems right now because he is so vanilla and bland, but he's still an idiot, and not very honest. Our country would still regress under his rule, but there is a remote chance that we might recover.
Anyone other than the dirty scumbag Trump please. You’d have to search the country high and low for months to find anyone worse than that appalling excuse for a human being.
@Nimbus we shall see, I suspect 2020 will be a close call. Hopefully him and his cronies won’t be allowed to get away with too much cheating. Heaven help all of us if that clown gets in again.
