When I tell people I want to live in the desert and they tell me it's hot:

I would like to visit but still enjoy the changes in seasons so I’m staying put. One of the oddities of life is how the body changes after traumas; my wife hated the heat in her younger years as she felt it zapped their strength. In her later years I had to keep the A/C from chilling the house off too much. And heat turned up despite flannel pj’s and heated throws. No wonder I became a home nudist.

Deserts like mountains have very peculiar weather patterns generally bordering on extremes ..extreme heat extreme cold humidity would be minus good for asthamatics it's a healthy pattern builds your body's immunity and keeps microbes under check

So my cousin wants me to go to New Mexico SO bad. I haven’t been but she swears I’d love it.

I think I would miss the seasons.

Isn't hot all the time. Often drops below freezing too.

I grew up in the desert.
My first car was an old Ford with no air conditioning.
