Deserts like mountains have very peculiar weather patterns generally bordering on extremes ..extreme heat extreme cold humidity would be minus good for asthamatics it's a healthy pattern builds your body's immunity and keeps microbes under check

@romell thanks for saying what I was thinking. My parents moved me to a desert area cause of my asthma which the east with it's humidity exacerbated
