Our tiny tornado

This child of mine

Yesterday our oldest boy got his AOF'S and he's not a fan of them.

Despite being exhausted and drained we still had to come home and be parents to our kiddos.

So Joel put the AOF'S on our oldest boy after we got home from our support group. He did the same thing as yesterday he sat down and closed his eyes, holding his blanket close and sucking his thumb. We did our best to encourage him to stand but he wouldn't.

Until our tiny tornado came in the room. He had taken the cardboard rolls from a few papers towel rolls and taped them to his legs like his brother.

He said look I have them too.

At first our oldest ignored him and didn't open his eyes but as you know our tiny tornado is persistent and kept repeating himself and he finally opened his eyes and looked.

See I'll wear these if you have to wear those. He held out his hand and took her oldest boy's hand and got him to stand up.

They held hands and together took a few steps. They slowly walked around the room for about 10 minutes until our oldest boy sat back down. I'm tired he said

our tiny tornado said me too, let's do this again tomorrow.

This tiny tornado of ours.

Wow, that shows love and empathy. What a fantastic thing for him to, 1) want to do 2) nut out a way to emulate his brother's walking aids.
You got a great one their Mr Cigarguy

Smart little guy.
Cigarguy · M
@Barefooter25 it was so sweet of him to do that to help his older brother
Coralmist · 41-45, F
I might sound so dumb, I apologize, what is an AOF?
Cigarguy · M
@Coralmist no he didn't. It's something he's dealt with since birth but it it got worse when he was in the hospital last year. He walks on his toes and has poor muscle tone. These will help correct it while he's still young.
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Cigarguy No worries, I'm up to the challenge, of being enlightened.
Cigarguy · M
@Levenrack thank you for that like I said sometimes I forget most people aren't used to the terms that we have to deal with in our everyday lives
