Can a communist country such as China for example read peoples messages?

Like iMessages for example? Or would apples privacy features stop the scanning of iMessages regardless of the wifi you are connected to or what someone’s country is trying to censor? The same for apps owned by Facebook such as WhatsApp?

Anything on your devices are being tracked, your location, photos, conversations and messages. Ever notice you talk about something then go on Facebook and see an ad for what you just talked about? They see thru your device cameras and listen to the mic, even when you’re not using them
@jbon85 Thats scary 😨

I would be more worried if I lived in a free country, emails are not private at all
@nedkelly Thats true even if your the president,royalty or Prime Minister.

No they can't. That's why they don't allow Whatsapp, unless you bypass their security using some method like VPN. iMessage users are in very small numbers in China so they don't consider it as threat.

Would they have their own search engine or blocks for things that could keep the government out. Then what happens if they catch you. They treat you like a spy for trying to hide something?

They’re all up in your shit! They don’t care about an apps privacy features. Keep filling out funny questionnaires about what your porn name is..
If you ever agreed to anything on FB and messenger.. even if you delete the apps.. they’re are right thru your ph.. right now.
theres all kinds of malware and groups that can hack into that.. not just china

you would assume yes.
Absolutely. And the people are probably used to it. Chances are a condition of doing business in their country is Apple providing a way around the privacy protections.
