I'm not raising tablet kids.

My kids play outside. Call me crazy. They get like an hour or two of TV a night. They attend sports, nature club, the zoo, parks, we live in the woods so they have a huge playset. (Literally made from rachet straps with swings and things attached between trees. Take the tablets away. I had some for my kids and quickly realized it was a no for me.

Yeah same with our son, we have 5 plus parks within 0.5 mile where we live and an absolute HUGE field (farm thing in the UK) only down the road.

Problem is we want to be in front of our phones undisturbed. Of course the kid(s) feeling lonely wanna spend time with YOU! Instead we give them tablets so now we both want entertainment undisturbed. Speaking from experience giving up phone is difficult but those kids? They need us to listen to their distractions.

@Sazzio I only spend time on my phone when my kids are at school actively playing outside or at night after bedtime

My kids gave my grandkids my 8 year and 12 year cellphones already. I don't even own one yet

My other son and daughter in-law gave their 4 and 6 years cellphones and they bought a farm to.

I'm glad cellphones don't work on my farm or in my area. We still have landmine telephones. But the phone company is trying to shut them down.

@HumanEarth yes but furring those times there were far less creeps trying to abduct and k'll kids. Les 🔫 violence too. I have a hidden GPS for my child's safety. It's not a lack of trust for her but a lack of trust for the world

@HumanEarth my kids are also in self defense. However there are safer options now and I'd rather she have the phone. She's also been told just hide the phone don't talk about it or let them see it. Id rather they have it. We all do what we think is best for our kids

“Tablet kids” makes it sound like you’re way too into The Sims, taking them everywhere on your tablet like some modern tamagotchi 🤣

@Zaphod42 😂 hey you leave my sims out of this 😂
Legit they might as well be the way they let them lock on 24)/7
