It really depends how much effort to notify the people, creditors, and establishments to update your number vs the effort to ignore a few fake calls.

Maybe try getting on the Do Not Call registry first. Donotcall.gov
You give that a bit of time to see if that helps. Don’t give your number up to anyone else or sign up anything with companies or online; etc.
If you’re still having issues after a month, I’d change it. Same thing, though. Sign up for do-not-call again, and don’t give that number anywhere.

Changing your number will buy you 6 months of silence before it starts again.

It's up to you. Depending on your carrier, they might not even charge you anything. Just remember how many people would need to know your new number.

I’ve been getting those as well. I don’t think so as people will still be able to get ahold of your number somehow.
