Do what makes you feel right. She would of moved with you to the new city if she was still with you, so take her with you. Give her a special place in your new home.

I have never spread any of mine. I have almost all my pets ashes that I've had over the decades. They're all in urns or urn type boxes. They are spread out throughout my house. You need to do what feels best for you. No one says that you have to do it this way or that way or if they do just ignore it. The way you grieve and the amount of time you grieve is entirely up to you. Make yourself feel good with whatever decisions you feel you want to make. ❤🤗

We have the same situation here, our lovely dog's ashes sitting in a box. I put my hand on it and wish him a happy birthday on that special day, and my heart will always be in there with him.
We are considering selling, and will need to do something with him, but it seems cruel to leave him here and we depart and equally cruel to take him from his only home.
Dumb to think ashes would care, and yet, what if they do? what if he is standing there waiting for us to join him. Ugh.. think of something else. We will probably bring him along, get him used to a new home he never saw in his living days, at least our connection will still be there. I would never leave his ashes for someone else to deal with, that isn't right either.

Don't do anything you are not ready for. It wouldn't hurt to take her with you and come back and scatter her ashes when the time is right. Many people keep their pets ashes, it isn't silly, their pet gave them many years of happiness. Some have ashes made into some kind of gemstone to keep, you might like to look into that. Sorry for your loss.

You were her home and if it were me I would take her with me. It's very hard to lose a pet and I understand what you are going through. I am very sorry for your loss 🙏😔

I am sentimental. I have two of my dog's ashes in nice containers in my office at home.

@exexec same here! 😢
Wait until you are ready. Grief is not something that you can turn on and off like a tap. You loved your dog. You will grieve that dog for as long as your heart does. Don't try to wish it faster. Good luck with your new move. Take her ashes with you. You still carry her in your heart. Set her ashes free when it is time for you.

Keep her and take her with you... sorry for your loss ... pets are the best.. it's a big void to lose one..
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@YoMomma I kept mine too. I have my cat and dog in my curio cabinet with my parents 😊

@Jenny1234 my dad and brother buried our last dog at our old house but we sold the place .. i told the new buyers he was burried there.. there's a concrete stone marker over the place in the woods.. 🤐
Mine passed away over a year ago, and I still have them.

I’m sorry about the loss of your best friend

Maybe you could spread most of her ashes in her favorite spots, and take a small amount in a locket to keep with you always.

@Thinkerbell This was my thought, too.
