Rip old puppy

I knew the risks of taking in a senior dog but I don't regret it for a second. Rest in peace old puppy. We love you and miss you already

Right before vet school, I adopted a 9 yo dog in rough shape. She damn near made it to my graduation. That includes outliving her cancer prognosis. My favorite shelter work experience was approving a 10yo Chihuahua mix for an 8yo girl that chose her on a name-your-price day with the money she’d earned. Adopting older pets is always an indication of good humanity to me. Thank you for giving them a good loving home for their final years. I know it made a difference for their life. I’m sorry for your loss. But, you gave them the safety of a home for their final years. That is not underestimated by them or those who work with them.

@NewMan2015 i'm going to be taking care of an 8 year old chihuahua mix, i believe she's mixed with rat terrier. She's so smart and loving if dogs could talk she'd be the 1st one. She communicates in a way that she's trying to tell you something. From eye rolls and sighs when you get it wrong to follow me and let me show you what im talking about lol i love her so much.

@AngelUnforgiven Almost everyone loved Sadie. She was that old saggy woman who smoked her whole life and hung out at the bar, but clearly had a heart of gold.

Here's my Florida buddy's Sadie. An insanely sweet and friendly hunting dog. Even loves their cat.

She helped him clear tons of brush after Milton. Would drag big branches to the front
