I would want exactly the dog I have. A German Shepard. He's smart ( so smart!), he's in tune to my bad days (I've an illness; I get so weak sometimes and he knows exactly when those times are. I've literally leaned on him to get up). Protective, intimidating to outsiders (though he's a sweetheart) I always feel safe with him and he's extremely loyal.
