Do you have a cat or a dog

I have a dog, I did have two but one recently passed away.
I did think about getting a cat recently, I prefer dogs but love all animals.

I was looking at exotic short hair cats 🐈 but don’t think Ernie would be too happy, he’s old now.

I serve two cats. I don't dislike dogs, but much prefer cats. What others see as arrogance, I see as a retained desire to be self sufficient despite domestication. Having dogs in an urban environment I feel is borderline abuse until they learn to use a litter box and are not left alone since they are a pack animal by nature.

I realize that my attitudes were shaped growing up on a ranch where every animal was expected to do its part. Dogs are useful and serve many functions on a ranch and are very limited in an urban environment. Cats keep the mice at bay wherever they are.

I have had both, and I was mushily in love with both my cats and my dogs. I will say, however, that my dogs had human style hair instead of fur, which made them far more tolerable for my allergies. My cats were just an allergy misery the whole time I had them.

I have both, i love animals but have a better bond with my cats.

Just one dog. For decades we had three, but as we've gotten older we've settled on just the one.

I like almost all animals

A dog as they are useful. Cats only make good targets.

And you couldn't possibly get a better cat.
