I should of called my cat sooty

Every now and then my cat comes home covered in what I think is soot, it's impossible to remove, water just spreads it and trying to brush it out is a nightmare.
I've excepted I will have to wash stuff more often.

You need a cat cam on it’s collar to see where all it’s traipsing about.

@cherokeepatti I've thought of getting one but it would definitely get lost

@Scarfface I wonder if you could track a cat if you put a Smart Tag on its collar? How accurate would that be as far as location?
Scarfface · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti I don't have Samsung stuff but I guess it could work. I've never tried anything like that 🤔
There are dedicated pet location gadgets but they ain't cheap and my cat removes anything I put on her 😂

Try using dawn dishwashing liquid.

@Scarfface My cat was a stray, also. VERY skittish and doesn't like to be picked up or held. I thought that if you had already tried washing her with water, you could just add a bit of Dawn to that, and make the water more effective. It takes oil from oils slicks off of baby ducklings.

@4meAndyou the best I could do was with a wet cloth, nearly lost a limb 😂

@Scarfface Try wrapping her in a towel first. That's what they do at the vets...😉
was that postman pats cats name?. 🤔
Scarfface · 46-50, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I don't think so, it was the name of a small bear on rainbow though.

{@scarfface] i am more surprised the cat has let you wash it at all as they are not partial to having wet fur
Scarfface · 46-50, M
@smiler2012 I've managed with a wet cloth and a bit of wrestling, she forgives me

@Scarfface 😆 sound like our cat jess she hates being picked up full stop and especially so when we pick her up to deflea her

@smiler2012 my cats the same, growls when I pick her up 🤣
