I've never been on a real date. Cause the nervousness and shyness prevented me from asking.

So I've spent my whole life with women who picked me up at a bar or the work place and took me home for years, weeks or half a night. I really don't think I'm living the way I'm supposed to. I'm not complaining, just reflecting on how it could have gone if I was confident

Well, you just have to make your move and not spend so much time thinking about it.

@MarkPaul can you describe your moves?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@atlantic59 Keep it simple...

"Hi, my name is __________."
Smile
If she responds you have now started the conversation and follow through with it.
If she doesn't respond, ask her a specific easy-to-answer question depending on the circumstances...
-- "Do you know what time it is?"
-- "Can I help you with that?"
-- "Do you know where I can find ____?"

The objective is to get a conversation STARTED. Focus only on that. If she responds, call it a success. After your first success come back for additional steps to get even further.

@MarkPaul this sounds so complicated and I get the theory but remembering it all, what you said, without rehearsal or notes will probably backfire I will probably say the wrong thing or whatever in the wrong order

@atlantic59 Sadly, that is as simple as it can be. If it's too complicated for you, then your best bet is to wish, hope, and pray someone will find you while sitting alone feeling sorry for yourself and follow the steps I outlined for you. It could happen.

@atlantic59 Well, I do know how to take action rather than hoping, wishing, and praying that I don't have to make any effort and things will just happen. Call me an unbreakable stud.
