I was just talking to someone about this the other day. Stop hoping, wishing and dreaming and start doing... Most people don't get it at all

@ScreamingFox Rhe problem is that law of attraction has become a multimillion dollar grift. Most people "teaching" it only talk about the good things that have happened, but nothing about how to actually perform it.
I listened to a podcast a year or so ago by a British woman who constantly talked about how LOA got her a husband, a kid, a house, etc, basically by saying, "I just kept focusing on it and it all happened". That's impossible. You have to work at relationships (btw, her marriage ended in amicable divorce). Immaculate conception hasn't happened in at least 2000 years. You don't just suddenly own a home. These things don't just happen. (Except maybe the last one under certain circumstances)
You have to actually do things to get those things. You have to get out and meet people, spend time and attention to have a relationship. You have to do the activity of procreation to have a baby. You have to get the money, go house hunting and hope your offer is accepted to get a home.
So after about a month and a half of listening to her just saying the same three things she got over and over again, and no actual meaningful content, I stopped listening. Why listen? There was nothing helpful there.
If you aren't willing to do the work, you just have a dream. And dreams don't exist in the real world.

@ScreamingFox I'm totally on board with action rather than talk or hope

My personal life lesson comes from “Illusions: the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah” by Richard Bach. To quote, “You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.”.

@SageWanderer I hadn't heard of that book. I have read a few LOA books, like "Wishcraft", "The Power of Intention", "Your Heart's Desire" and a few others I can't remember off hand.
But it is true! You have both the ability to create and manifest what you think as long as you are aware of the work it will take to do so.

@FoxyQueen I actually had a poster with that quote at one time. You can Google quotes from that book but I suggest reading it.
Like attracts like.. You look for negatively and you're going to find it..
