I was born in Nebraska. My grandfather had a farm there. We spent the summers on the farm. Lots of things like cherokeepatti mentioned, during the summers on that farm. Lots of good memories of cherry picking, the animals, and the gardens. Big family picnics. Jello salads...fried chidken...hamburgers. The family was so huge I didn't know the names of all the Great Aunts and Uncles.
In Nebraska I had lots of cousins to play with, and we would go to the Municipal pool sometimes, which was nice, and we took lots of side trips, to Utah, and Wyoming, and South Dakota.
We spent the school year back in Massachusetts. Massachusetts was good, too, because at least I had friends here...and there were more than 2 TV channels...🤣🤣🤣
