Some people be complaining about the lack of social skills other have, how no one wants to connect anymore, always looking at phone etc

I dunno, maybe I'm just introverted, maybe just paranoid,
But it's not necessarily lack of social skills or not wanting to connect,

Not wanting to make eye contact, or not wanting to keep a conversation going with a stranger feels more like: "I'm not in the mood to get stalked or stabbed by a crackhead today,"

And looking at my phone and having my headphones is a form of avoidance.

Street smarts DOESN'T mean lack of social skills

I hope I am not offending you, but, do you have any other evidence of being high functioning on the spectrum of autism?

@samueltyler2

I mean, I've been trying to find asd things I actually relate to (that aren't an ADHD overlap) since my psychiatrist keeps pointing it out...

However, I don't think what I said in my post has anything to do with autism...

Anxiety? Distrust? General precautions if you live in or come from a rough neighbourhood? Maybe

@Fishy i think if I were a youth now, I would be in that category. I was always called too serious, i was a sequential friend, never having a wide circle of friends until college fraternity. I never really worked hard at school, managing to always just do well enough to progress, then hit it big by being in the right place at the right time.
