One of the oddest things…

is how sometimes when you’re quiet and don’t have much to say, some people can interpret [b]that[/b] as "having an [b]attitude[/b]". 🙁

I think a lot of it has to do with some people resenting that you aren't giving them enough ammunition to get into your business and judge you.

I know the feeling. I most certainly don't judge others for being quiet.

It's why I'm not really a big poster. Though perhaps I do reply too much. Yet I have found that those that are quiet think things through far more. And have more worth while posts then those that are constantly posting.

That I consider a good thing. 😊

It's the "T" in my INTJ-A personality type. "T" for Thinking

The "A" sticking out on the end makes me reply too much... "A" for Assertive.

It's particularly hard for those of us who grew up when society/culture looked at the strong, silent type as the hero rather than a sociopath as today. I do highly recommend Susan Cain's book Quiet on how the times changed, thet braggart of the 50's became the new societal norm, and what introverts need to do today to co-exist in a world dominated by extroverts.

Sometimes when I talk to you I feel like a big galoot because you have that panache,playing classical pieces at an early age but i never thought of you having an attitude

Yes,I've found that over the years,some do see it that way,perhaps for a variety of reasons - they may think that you don't like them,don't care to talk to them,that you're sitting there analysing them,or even implying that they have too much to say.

@Ghostinthemachine Hard to say. Some people expect small talk, and don’t understand a lack of chatter. Someone said something here that reminded me that I tend to have a stern expression when not smiling.
