Because they are victims? Because they don't realise they're doing it? Because they feel so lonely and broken and it's the only attention they can get?

On self harm training we were asked why we think people do it. One person answered 'For attention'. The person taking the class asked us so what if it is? What's wrong with needing attention? Who are we to judge what's an acceptable reason for self harm/suicide and what isn't.
Attention, validation, pain, low self-esteem, loneliness, lack of healthy coping mechanism, lack of understanding and denial.

And manipulation.

Attention seekers, for the most part.

One example right off the top of my head...I watched Whoopi Goldberg on the View in a short clip on another channel, (Whoopi is both black and gay), trying to claim that in today's American, gay people are still dragged behind cars. Then she went on to make a wild claim about black people still being dragged behind cars in today's America.

She identifies with both groups, and despite being a very wealthy television hostess, somehow she still NEEDS for "HER" groups to be victims.

Because they can’t accept being wrong and the negative consequences that comes from it… it takes a lot more courage to apologise… the coward will always claim victim hood even in the jaws of defeat. Weak character and low-EQ and poor empathy. Narcissistic traits and toxic trolling etc

Some people are actual victims
@Ferise1 That's an obvious analogy that I overlooked. Hopefully these hurt souls can become victorious.
