I think in other words....Kindness goes a long way! Is this true? Or am I missing something?

You are missing something. Meek is not kindness. Meek is paranoia and weak minded. The Abrahamic God wants the paranoid people to take control of the earth so he, the Abrahamic God with his horns and thunder bolt can take hold of the planet and not be challenged.
