My friend is convinced her new house is haunted. I went around to help her decorate and make her feel better. But I don’t think I helped.

She said moving in was fine but her dog hates the place, and since she’s started decorating things have been going on.

We were scraping paper off a wall, and we heard the snacks I’d left in the kitchen fall on the floor. Before I could say anything the radio we had on for background noise crackled off station and you could hear a little girl laugh, then it went back to the radio. We dropped our things and decided to go to a cafe for dinner.

I feel sorry for her. Her husband works nights in Plymouth so she’s home alone a lot.

I hope she doesn’t ask me for a sleep over. 🫤

A friend of mine had the same problem years ago. Doors would slam on calm non windy days and things would be hidden, etc. I suggested if she has anything to do with the occult like fortune telling, anything about horoscopes, antiques, witchcraft, to get rid of it. She said she would and then the door slamming, etc stopped.
My daughter collected Egyptian statues and then she saw Egyptian mask like entities come near her face at night, a broom appeared floating in her bedroom door, etc. I told her to box the statues up and either sell or destroy them. She only boxed them up and they are still in storage but the weird paranormal sightings stopped.
Never allow weird shit into your house!!!

Your friend can contact a psychic or medium to see if the spirits are friendly or not. Also, the city you live in or the area surrounding your friend's house probably has a long history of people meeting an untimely death, which can explain the paranormal activity.

@Barefooter25 This is Cornwall. Stones circles, smugglers caves, witchcraft and folklore are everywhere.

my friend bought a house that an older couple had lived in but had died. she said her house was haunted by the couple. she put in electronic toilets and the ghosts messed with them and kept flushing them all night long. she had to have them removed. she had other things happen too but they seem to be ok now.

Not 88 Grantley Gardens by any chance. I lived there. If it is I know the spirit, I got her to leave once before...

You can try talking to the spirits. If does not help, may need to call some one in that can help.
Morvoren · F
@Confined It would be welcome to stay if it didn’t misbehave so much. Ghosts are ten a penny around here.

Many options. Some are none standard.

I'm one of the few that ghost's avoid.
Morvoren · F
@DeWayfarer You think ghosts avoid you?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Morvoren I know they do. I have been in the area of the queen Mary where it is haunted. Same with the Coronado hotel. Vedauwoo is a well known haunted burial ground as well.

Sounds like the house really is haunted. Do you believe it's haunted? Have you experienced ghosts before? 👻
SouthernGuy1987 · 36-40, M
@Morvoren So you've dealt with the strange and paranormal your whole life. What's the strangest thing you've ever seen or dealt with there?
Morvoren · F
@SouthernGuy1987 Everyone around here has a story. When me and my brother were very young we used to share a little bed in a back room at my grand parents for stay overs. An old man with glasses used to wake us up in the night, he’d just sit there beside our bed smoking cigarettes.

We’d tell our parents in the morning and they use to get irritated with us and hush us up.

When we were adults we found out he used to own the house in the 1930s. He moved to Southampton and was killed in the blitz.

@Morvoren I think I've found my home

You could do a cleansing ritual or a seance to identify the spirit, determine its grievance, and then either make peace with it our convince it to leave (move on).
👀 I'd be staying over just to investigate tbh because
There's a few things to do.

1. Ignore it
2. Talk to it
3. Sage it
@Morvoren 5. Hire an electrician

You can ask it to leave. Open the windows and doors and tell it to go. Be nice about it. Hope shes OK

see if the local priest will bless the place
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
Tell her to tell it to leave. Tell it that it doesn't belong here among the living.
Morvoren · F
@AngelUnforgiven Living people rarely do what they are told…
