elizabeth quigley can smell parkinsons and, idr her exact word choice, but i think she described it similiar to you. maybe you can smell that, or another disease. it's too bad you can't stop these strangers and asked for an in depth look on their health history, family history, diagnoses, and general day to day symptoms. hipaa and.. general human decency or whatever

I wonder what do you mean. I have hyperosmia so I know a broad palette of smells too but I'm curious if I know the smell you described.
I believe that most of foul BOs are caused by bacteria and fungi. Sometimes coffee or cigarette smoke is mixed in. Maybe the thing you smell is some drug and decay of the body it causes.

There's one specific smell probably native to my homecity which I call "dirt and mold from below the vinyl flooring in a room where someone smoked cigarettes for many years" I think it's some specific type of mold causing it but anyway...We had that smell in college and I sometimes notice that smell coming from people in the bus too.

I also know when someone has a problem with candida overgrowth or some other type of mycosis because their breath smells like fungi/mildew.

I have had some similar experience a few times. Very few times. To me it smelled like corpse. In my own mind's metaphysics I'm explaining it that a dimension of them has died.
It's a very particular and peculiar smell.

Wow, I know exactly what you mean! To me it's a mildewy piss smell and I can see it on them too, like a stain. Don't ever touch them.
