Where do people

Get their political beliefs?
Family tradition, things they experienced and made assessments of of others, upbringing and they took their parents beliefs or they took polar opposites?
Also why so stubborn? I agree to some points on all sides. I might hear someone’s thinking and ponder if I should support this or that. I grew up with out political beliefs. I just fell in with a crowd. I grew up down south in a very rural area called the Big Thicket. I align with the right more than the left, but thanks to a couple of guys on here that are left they help me see it the difference in logics. I will not name no names. I know at least one of the guys know that they are one.

Now I rambled enough.

I guess it often comes from first experiences of what is perceived as a form of social injustice. But this is emotional, politics should be about efficiency too. We must see to what extent parties walk their talk and if they only stigmatise a group to gain votes from frustrated people, pitting a section of the population against another. What matters a lot to me is the courage of individuals, whenever I see fascism raise its ugly head I stay away from the shouting crowd.

It's all of the above. We get our beliefs from our families, our upbringing, our personal experiences, our education, our reading, our interactions with others...my political beliefs have come from all of those. My beliefs are similar to those of my parents, but not exactly the same. My beliefs have changed and been refined further as I've learned more and had more direct experiences with certain people and issues.

I never figure someone disagrees with me because they're "brainwashed", which seems to be everyone's go-to explanation these days. I can often easily figure where they got their beliefs; I just happen to not agree with them. Lol.

Generally speaking if you experience a good relationship with your parent you will more likely adopt the beliefs of your parents..

If you have a bad relationship with your parents you will rebel against them by rejecting their beliefs..

Stubbornness can become a factor if you challenge the persons beliefs and they take it as you saying their parents where liars This can also be a factor if the person had a good relationship with a non parent mentor as well..

Being extreme in ones political beliefs tends to be a reaction against the perceived danger in the opposite political beliefs and if well indoctrinated / brainwashed the irrational fear of anyone who holds those opposite beliefs... Once someone who a person trusts tells them that the opposite people have evil intentions and immoral intentions or are a threat to ones life and liberty. Then more extreme reactions to those who hold an opposing political view is almost to be expected... Garbage in violence out..
In my opinion there are 2 kinds ..
One kind works hard and watches their tax money get wasted…

The other dont work hard and receive the above mentioned tax in hand outs..

Depending on where you are. Is where you sit politically.. 🤓

From their surrounding influences good or bad.. for better or worse .. some people chose not to be like those around them but others mindlessly follow mainstream trends and influences 😏

As the old Romans used to say. De gustibus non est disputandum, There is no accounting for taste.

I don’t want any foreigners, but I want workers to get a decent pay.
