Where do people

Get their political beliefs?
Family tradition, things they experienced and made assessments of of others, upbringing and they took their parents beliefs or they took polar opposites?
Also why so stubborn? I agree to some points on all sides. I might hear someone’s thinking and ponder if I should support this or that. I grew up with out political beliefs. I just fell in with a crowd. I grew up down south in a very rural area called the Big Thicket. I align with the right more than the left, but thanks to a couple of guys on here that are left they help me see it the difference in logics. I will not name no names. I know at least one of the guys know that they are one.

Now I rambled enough.

Generally speaking if you experience a good relationship with your parent you will more likely adopt the beliefs of your parents..

If you have a bad relationship with your parents you will rebel against them by rejecting their beliefs..

Stubbornness can become a factor if you challenge the persons beliefs and they take it as you saying their parents where liars This can also be a factor if the person had a good relationship with a non parent mentor as well..

Being extreme in ones political beliefs tends to be a reaction against the perceived danger in the opposite political beliefs and if well indoctrinated / brainwashed the irrational fear of anyone who holds those opposite beliefs... Once someone who a person trusts tells them that the opposite people have evil intentions and immoral intentions or are a threat to ones life and liberty. Then more extreme reactions to those who hold an opposing political view is almost to be expected... Garbage in violence out..
