tbh from the other side my answer is that don't confuse a nerdy guy as being inherently wholesome bc the ones who make it their entire personality often treat girls with similar interests as a caricature and god forbid you have more knowledge on that topic they get insecure and try to quiz you etc

Absolutely. Those kinds of girls end up being the sweetest as they retain their capacity for building connections and valuing them. Not to say that other women don't but it definitely feels like women who aren't nerdy or geeky don't truly understand the value of good connection because they have so many connections.
That's my personal experience with it, but I also find nerdy girls attractive because they're often very passionate too.

Some guys are definitely drawn into them yes, but because I'm a rather introverted type myself, I prefer a more exuberant, carefree and frolicsome character, even silly in some ways but smart when she's focused, someone that is able to pull me out of my comfort zone. I believe relationships work when there's a just balance between complementarity and similarity. You need to be similar yes, but you also need to be opposite in order to complement each other. With a nerdy girl I could probably talk about similar music tastes for entire days, but eventually it would become a bore because it would remind me too much of myself and for that reason ceases being stimulating

I managed a group of consultants for the space program, so there were several nerdy, geeky young ladies on my staff. They had no problem finding fun dates and mates.
