What does infinity mean to any of us? Can anyone really conceive of what Infinity really is?
Yet the possibilities are truly infinite. While we are nothing, collectively and throughout time, more than a speck of dust to the universe.
And yes, what if there are other universes? And yes, what about other dimensions? And what of the other things that are currently unknown?
It's infinities in all ways. From in between fractions to either ends of a number line and onto what is imaginary with the number i. And so much more.
To limit it, is to limit yourself. Which is unrealistic, because all the known infinites, which we have troubles conceiving, do exist!

@DeWayfarer there are no limits
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@InquisitiveMind there are limits for us as individuals. Believe me I have reached a few of those. Yet for what is possible in general there are none.
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@DeWayfarer I was referring to the 2 unlimited track… 🤣 but I get your point..

I believe there are probably multiple planets with some sort of life out there. Even with our very limited view of nearby planets, our instruments have detected objects that are in zones that would support life similar to that on earth. We have no idea what other types of life might be out there. My poor brain isn't smart enough to comprehend the vastness of space and the unknowns beyond our senses.
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
Sentient life must be out there even if it is in another galaxy. But it could have also lived and died a billion years ago
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@Axeroberts true, may even have dropped by and thought not much of our place at the time…
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@InquisitiveMind I'm not convinced any alien life has dropped by. But who knows
ClydeKoolray · 46-50, M
On this planet, sure.
In the vastness of space, not at all, and it’s foolish to think we’re anywhere near the most advanced species in the galaxy.

@ClydeKoolray I'm not sure that's the case with the galaxy but the universe is a little different thing. The Milky Way is a spec.

My explanation is distance and physics. So yeah. We really are alone on this planet. But human ego won't let some be OK with that.
Space is a big place. The distances to planets that could potentially have the building blocks of life are SO far away and would take SO much time to traverse, it's kind of silly to even consider it.

@InquisitiveMind If SW is still around in a billion years I'll check back and see if there's been any new developments. 😉
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@Ynotisay AI will be in charge then….
Ynotisay · M
@InquisitiveMind Safe to say AI will be running the show well before then. And life won't be able to tolerate the environment in a billion years. If anything survives it will be done indoors.

While all the attention is focused on the vastness of the universe, I think it's important to recognize how we know little about how small is small. To put the two together, they say our vast universe started with the big bang ... of a pin size something. Are there more tiny universes in a drop of water?
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@Heartlander that’s a mind bending thought….
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I fully believe that we are not alone. I not only think that there are intelligent extraterrestrials in other galaxies, but also that there are (and have been for thousands of years) extraterrestrials and hybrids living on our planet among us.
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@DearAmbellina2113 so if you were to have a wild guess… who in the world of prominent known people could possibly be extraterrestrial… clearly if it’s your next door neighbour I’m not going to know them…
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@InquisitiveMind Doja Cat... David Bowie... Plenty of government officials (all countries)... and pretty much anyone who seems like they have a hard time "fitting" in the world and in their own body. It's not like a trans person or a socially awkward person- it's a different kind of discomfort you can sense coming from them regarding their own humanity (because they either are not human at all, or they are a hybrid and don't even know it).
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@DearAmbellina2113 on that basis… they might even outnumber us….. DB was a legend!!!
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Scientifically speaking, there is no current proof of non-Earth based life. The best I can say is, based on available data, it's unlikely that we are the only life in the galaxy. More unlikely than that in the entire observable universe. Really interesting to me is, are we the only life in this solar system?
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@GerOttman to paraphrase quote Kirk… (there maybe) life Jim but not as we know it..

@streetangel do you think they may even be amongst us right here, right now… do we really know…. Thinking about it, some of those politicians could easily be…
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
Well there are other people on this planet, you mean in the universe, no we’re not
InquisitiveMind · 46-50, M
@MonaReeves86 I wonder what they’d make of us… they maybe quite offended in how we portray most alien species in popular culture…

@BlueGreenGrey as in, other than our own planet.. but it could have been worded better…. but I guess you knew that..
