@Zaphod42 My first apartment was a studio in Pacifica. It was the size of a closet but had two picture windows overlooking the Bay. I moved when the rent went up (no rent control) but eventually that building and all the others on that street had to be torn down because of erosion on those cliffs.
@bijouxbroussard Yeah, that’s an issue with a lot of the houses along that shore line. Jack O’Neil of the famous surf brand has (or maybe by now ‘had’) a house in SC literally hanging over the cliff edge with supports built to keep it upright. Rumor is that when he bought the house it was originally a good 50 feet or so from the edge.
Give me mountains anytime. I have tried and failed miserably to walk on the ocean. Others have tried before but only one has successfully managed to walk over water.
I am a girl that lives for walks in the forests and trails.
Mountains on the coast. But the altiplano desert of Bolivia is pretty cool too. We found a natural spring pouring out of the side of a cliff at 16,000’. Beautiful views.
That's a tough choice. I love both. But I would choose the mountains. The atmosphere, plant and animal life there is closer to where I live. I can't breathe water.
