Haley "endorses" Trump

Haley just effectively endorsed Trump by saying she will vote for him.
"Moderate" Conservatives always end up siding with the Fascists.

"That doesn't mean it was too late. Especially because SPD policies would have increased employment."

You're wrong yet again, Boo-Boo. 🙄
OF COURSE it was too late for the SPD by the 1932 elections. Their "policies" had had two years since the start of the Great Depression to "increase employment." Instead, unemployment went up from about 10% to about 30%. They had no more chance of staying in power than Herbert Hoover and the Republicans did in the US in 1932.

Unfortunately for Germany, the alternatives weren't as simple as going from the Republicans to the Democrats.
In Germany, the choices were to move to the left or to the right of the SPD. The German populace had seen about 10 years of KPD terror, and the KPD getting about 10% of the vote in national elections (as opposed to the NSDAP's 2 or 3%), so it's not terribly surprising that the middle class moved to the right.

"While I think Ebert went a bit too far, I wouldn't call this authoritarian. He put down a violent uprising, Liebknecht and Luxemburg were basically terrorists, and in order to ensure Germany's Democracy, he had the leaders of an anti-democratic terrorist movement executed. Personally, I would have kept them in prison, but I don't think what he did was wrong."

The SPD used far-right Freikorps paramilitaries to summarily execute Liebknecht and Luxemburg after they were already in custody, and you think that "wasn't wrong," after allowing that it may have been "a bit too far." 🙄

Oh, wait, I forgot... it must have been those "liberals and conservatives" that the SPD had to compromise with. 🤣

Is she rolling with the punches now? With friends like that who needs enemas?
Mmiker · 46-50, M
Nothing wrong with other people supporting him. That’s their opinion and business.
Mmiker · 46-50, M
@Ynotisay No sir. It’s about each American. And if they prefer one thing allow them to have what they want too!
Ynotisay · M
@Mmiker I'm done dude. No interest in those with no care or concern of others. Have a good one.

@Ynotisay all the best.

Like we needed to know more about the quality of the people who support Trump....I am sure Hannibal Leckter would have voted for him too..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You mean like half of the country.
The way Trump took over the GOP is unprecedented. But it won’t survive his demise. The bloodbath after he’s gone over who gets to wear his mantle will destroy the party.
@LeopoldBloom Plus, there aren't any other Republicans that are charismatic and funny like Trump. Trumpism is a cult of personality, but none of the other Republicans have a personality.
This is why we need to reelected Biden. Destroy the GOP and then we can push the Democrats to the Left.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom Lets hope so. I dont believe there is a serious thinker left in the party. And lets face it. A few of the prominent ones who left are scary enough..😷
So, is she going to be the next 'Arkancide' casualty, for exercising her rights?

@LeopoldBloom The smart thing they do is get someone else to do their dirty work. No blood on the Clinton's hooves. Then as governor and president etc, they can order their justice departments, coroner, cops and detectives, to drop the case.

Why is anyone shocked by this?

You shouldn't be.

The question is, those who stood by Haley on stage and in the audience at her rallys and voted for her in the primaries....do they feel betrayed or will they fall in line and vote for Trump, like good little cult members?

She literally just sold her soul. No wonder she lost. Her "appeal to heaven" has been denied.

@Ynotisay The truth is McCain would have denounced her statement.

There was a person of principle that I could respect. Not that I agreed with his policies. Yet his hard fast stance on principals puts him in a world above the others.

So you know those who are with the Lincoln project are still against Trump and have ALWAYS BEEN against Trump from before 2016.

Trump was the only one not invited at McCains funeral. All the other pasts presidents where invited on both sides. Accept Trump!
Ynotisay · M
@DeWayfarer You make a good point about the Lincoln Project. I was speaking more about Congress. Romney, along with a very small handful of other Republican leaders, aren't endorsing him. The others are bootlicking. And yeah. McCain didn't support Trump. But he actually said he might do a write in vote for his good friend Lindsey Graham. I wonder what he'd think of Lindsey today.
But he died like five or six years ago. The GOP is a completely different animal now.
