TexChik · F
Because Brit’s love sticking their noses in other country’s business and immediately assume they are the expert ? 🤷🏻‍♀️
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@TexChik yes then you started the civil war and killed 600,000 of oyur own people, us brits see war of independance as a lucky escape ahah
TexChik · F
@itsoeasy nope you came back in 1812 trying again. And let’s not forget what our civil war was all about and how England was very much involved in the slave trade .
Bewilderbeeste · 61-69, M
@TexChik Because Brit’s what love sticking their noses in other country’s business and immediately assume they are the expert?
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
We invented the internet, so it's ours.

My theory is that anywhere with unmitigated levels of mental illness and general degeneracy is bound to have a lot of Americans.

I mean, this website is basically just Florida in digitial, no?
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@GeistInTheMachine internet was invented in britain, as was the computer and television. in fact america rarely invents anything
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@GeistInTheMachine tim berners lee, invented the internet in uk,lookit up
@itsoeasy wrong

SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
We dominate everything bro.
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster except rock music,, acdc australian, deep purple, rollingstones, def lepard, motorhead, led zeppellin, all british, beatles
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@itsoeasy And I raise you Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Journey, Foreigner, Bad Company, The Doobie Brothers, Frank Zappa, Motley Crue, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Chicago, Styx, Heart, Kiss, The Grateful Dead, Lynryd Skynryd, ZZ Top, The Ramones, The Allman Brothers Band, Simon and Garfunkel, The Eagles, REM, The Talking Heads, The Doors, Credence Clearwater Revival, Van Halen, Tom Petty, and The Beach Boys.

Plus you know this as well as I...many of the original wave of British bands copied their style and songs from American Blues Musicians and Chuck Berry...
@SumKindaMunster youre going to give him a heart attack
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I'm from Sweden 🇸🇪

But my guess is because Europeans have a better living standard. I'm only online because of my mental struggles. If I was well I wouldn't be on here.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@DeluxedEdition Yes we have, but that doesn't mean it cures people. I've had access to help since I was a kid. I'm very thankful for that but only milder cases can expect full recovery with the right help while for us with severe cases is a different story. We're told early on that we can expect to be severely mental disabled for the rest of our lives, and that therapy can only help us cope with that circumstance.
@Queendragonfly You don't seem to have mental struggles. In fact, you seem one of the more lucid and level-headed people here.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@PhoenixPhail Unexpected compliment! System failure!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

😂

Thank you so much, I take such compliments to heart ♥

But most of my mental illness shows outside this page. I don't feel like sharing all the dark chaos on here just yet. So I share that on my main page.
But I can share a poem just to give a little peak in without me feeling way too exposed and ending up triggering myself.
Rainandforest · 22-25, F
It's yankees site i guess lol
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@Rainandforest who owns it
the web in general has always been very US centric because that is where it originated from is my theory
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@orioninthenight tim berners lee, invented the wolrd wide web in britain
@itsoeasy not really, Arpanet predated this guy

I think this is just some cope that British people like to tell themselves
America is just massive. So I guess it reaches more people
itsoeasy · 56-60, M
@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart small population, 370 million, when you think uk is size of orgeon with 70 million people in it,
@itsoeasy lol dude the population density has nothing to do with it
@itsoeasy why are you coping so hard about being from the UK, seriously I am American, I even wore a uniform and marched in front of the president with my unit once during my military service

that being said even I am not nearly as giving a shit about being American as you are about being British

quite frankly I am more interested in my cars or what I am going to do for my home improvements

its not like you earned being British like I kind of earned being American (by more than just sliding out of my moms pussy in the right country...but by military service)

just maybe realize British isnt a personality trait

I see you all over SW acting like it is
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@pianoplayingsteve The USA says to jump, and the UK says how high? What does the UK run or control anymore? I'm sorry, but you barely even have control over yourselves. You don't still run the world. You guys yeeted your empire and yeeted yourselves into a corner with Brexit.

And thank God for the collapse of the British Empire, but I wish for the sake of it's people that the government of the UK wasn't so damn reckless!
Uncfred · 61-69, M
There are many Brits on here, I have interacted with some..

Just look around
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
I think there’s more Americans but there’s definitely British people on here
Gusman · 61-69, M
Hey...over here...you know...down under...
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@Gusman Mexico?

Lol.
Out of the western world, Americans make up most of the people on the interwebs.
@DeluxedEdition Too be fair, that's mainly because of Scotland.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F

Although it is an American site, and the majority of members seem to be American, there are lots of members from all over the world - Brits, other Europeans, people from the former dominions …
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@MartinII Oh, indeed, there are.
revenant · F
I think Americans in general are more outspoken and perhaps less hesitant about sharing their private lives.
Fukfacewillie · 51-55, M
Because!

eventtemple123 · 22-25, M
America still has way more English speakers
ArishMell · 70-79, M

Not worldwide, probably not even if you exclude fluent speakers of English as a second language. Though many of them speak American not English!
Bewilderbeeste · 61-69, M
This type of website seems to attract mostly Americans.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
It is an American site....
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@ArishMell To be fair, Twatter and Fakebook are American and they have international users. it's more a size thing maybe?
Bewilderbeeste · 61-69, M
@ArishMell Is this an American site? I heard it was run by a Portuguese immigrant living in Ireland.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
