How can protestors cheer for Hamas and deny the existence of hostages

When Hamas themselves posts videos of themselves murdering hostages?
The day you start differentiating a Palestinian from hamas is probably when you'll come to a reasonable answer to your question

Hamas defeated Fatah the year after being duly elected.

If people didn't vote Hamas into power, why did the population remove Hamas?

If Hamas hasn't allowed any elections why hasn't the population removed them from power?

It's called tacit approval.

There is no apartheid or genocide on the part of Israel. There are no Israelis living in Gaza. Israel supplies Gaza with utilities. Hamas steals all the money and humanitarian aide it can.

The only genocidal intent is that of Hamas and other terrorist groups that want to kill all Jews.

Palestinians rejected 2 dtate proposals on 5 occasions. Peace is not the Palestinian priority. Extermination of all Jews is.

Hamas uses its own citizens as human shields.

In the 20th and 21th Century, countries and groups that start wars lose...badly.

Next time, think twice about starting a war.

A non sequitur is a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement.

I don't know what you mean.

They are ignorant
Being opposed to killing women and children is not supporting Hamas, nor is it anti-semitic

@independentone Well, it is if you don't oppose it when Hamas do it. (By the way, they raped some of their victims first, and 21% of the victims were Arabs.)

I'm afraid there are only two explanations. First, naive but well-meaning demonstrators are being orchestrated and manipulated by left-wing activists who think they see an opportunity to destroy or wound the western establishment. It has been the same to some extent in every anti-war protest in my lifetime, with the difference that the establishment itself has become more left-wing and therefore more vulnerable to the hard left. Second, a lot of those involved don't like Jews.
If it was any other country fighting Hamas the (designated terrorist org) …

Would all the usual suspects be supporting Hamas so enthusiastically and desperately..
?

Sounds like hamas is on the ropes and the establishments desperate to stop Israel wiping out their Gaza ISIS….

all Israel needs to do is stage an attack against Ukraine and make it look like Hamas did it...

the UN would be carpet bombing gaza strip within a week...🤔
They aren't cheering for Hamas. Here, Bernie explains.

Likely they claim its all propaganda and "fake" news. Its a common denial play among those that like being in their own little bubble of reality.

@MandyMitchell I think there are additional explanations to the ones you rightly give - please see my earlier response.

@MartinII My 'deluded' statement would cover your very accurate explanation.
