So what caused the riot in downtown Chicago?

If you haven't seen the news, a mob of teens went crazy, torching cars and smashing windows and stuff in downtown Chicago. The question is why?
I've been reading about it and haven't seen any sort of details as to why. Is there something that they are trying to hide?
@latinbutterfly didn't they mention that young men refused to allow a certain entertainment scene to be open to only adults and stormed the doorways after coordinating their movements online?
Did that story go away????
https://youtu.be/ZxL-aUeNmJc.
@Roundandroundwego I didn't see that anywhere but if that is the reason, it is just sad for them to act that way when they didn't get what they wanted. There has to be more to the story, though.
@latinbutterfly it's alarming that the story was online and easy to see a few days ago, but now I can only find it if I Google the specific titles and shows where I saw it. What? It's like a social media induced mass psychosis done with just young boys. What happened, who did it, and now, who hides things this way?

Riots are the voice of the unheard. So the question is what were they saying before this riot nobody listened to?
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@CountScrofula They clearly wanted to get someone's attention about something and wanted to do it in a big way. But there are no details as to what.
@SubstantialKick actually we do know exactly what they wanted, that they were told no, that violence ensued.

@Roundandroundwego No I mean like, more broadly. What circumstances do those teens live in to cause them to behave in such a fashion. There's a reason why wealthy middle class kids with comfortable lifestyles don't riot like that.

Because they are animals

@LordShadowfire I very much doubt you will receive an answer.
losthorizons · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire the rioters
losthorizons · 51-55, M
@CorvusBlackthorne why do you question?

Heathens being heathens.
I caused it. Just for lols.
Is this a riot?
Don't these kids have role models who bomb things to get what they want and mob the capitol if the election goes against them?

No one knows why ,at least a far as I've rread but someone brought guns to the party and two were shot
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@bookerdana Yeah, I read about that part 😕.

@SubstantialKick I think some had texted each other to meet; I really doubt most teens there know WHY..like .a lot of things American it ended with a shooting 🙁

Evidently it was created by a call on social media for a "teen takeover"? But I hadn't really heard anything about it.

There are no consequences to this (and other actions) and when there isn't things like this will continue to happen

Just a normal day in Chicago.
I hadn’t known about it. I’ve been looking for information on what could’ve touched it off. But everyone’s upset at the mayor, the mayor-elect, and there have been reports that the police ignored people seeking help.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah I have seen that people are upset at Brandon Johnson. And this event happens just shortly after his election. Not a good look for him.

I hadn't heard about this. I just Googled it, and I'm even more confused. There's some folks calling it a protest, some folks calling it a riot, apparently some of the people participating are now dead, and I can't seem to find a reason why it kicked off. Does it have to do with that Chauvin case, maybe?
