I agree. There are a lot of people who seemed to have really missed the real points, focusing on the ones that weren't implemented properly.

Marx was right except for the part where the workers vote for hyper-capitalists and fascists, and identify more by race than class. I'm sure that will change soon, perhaps before Jesus returns.
I read a lot of Nietzsche in college, and he's a fun goof.
Both are modernists, and interesting in terms of intellectual history, but I don't see them as relevant now.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow likewise. Was quite happy when she brought up the issues of the left in her book. Too many socialists seem to think its either about being for the working class or for minorities without realising it can be both. Tbf i thought that at first until i heard about the working class history website

Well it seems a lot of the American population doesn't even know who Marx was or his theories. They think liberalism is Marxism. Some North Americans may be aware of Nietzche but may only know the "god is dead" quote if all. Again, regarded as a liberal which to them means woke

Probably true. They both have plenty of people who dislike them because they don't understand them, but they also have people who like them specifically because they misunderstand them. Tankies in Marx's case, and Nazis in Nietzsche's.

@BohoBabe and those are vile people. Im all for critiquing their philosophies as it shows intellectual honesty

I get teased at work when I bring up Nietzsche. A lot of groans and “here they go again”
But I like what I understand 🤷🏻♀🤣

marx had a lot of great ideas. for an unemployed grifter...
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout A wise man once opined that Marx is the opium of the pseudo intellectuals. Anyone with a real brain can see the result of Marx's ideas. He called for total destruction. It is in the second last paragraph of the Communist Manifesto.

@Guitarman123 For the intellectually challenged like I am sure it would be funny. Of course you worship a guy (Marx) whose own son called "My dear devil". You might have read about him and how he never bathed or washed up. As is commonly understood "Marxism is the opium of the pseudo intellectual". Sadly you lack any discernment. Of course you misunderstand Nietzsche as well so you struck out twice.

@Guitarman123 Here is another video to stretch your pseudo intellectual mind
